Q: Slight Cramping

22w0d pregnant. I've been dealing with some slight cramping (no blood *knock on wood) and lower back pain today. Normal or not so much at this stage? I feel him moving every so often today (more bubble sensations today than normal) so maybe that has something to do with it.

Baby is having a party! I bet it's stretching because the more you describe, is what I feel often, especially when rolling over in bed. I've literally switching positions and stretched something and gotten the a pain/cramp/sensation feeling. It does not feel pleasant but goes away very fast.

Thanks guys. It feels more like it's just more tender down there these past couple of days. Maybe he's growing more or something and I'm stretching more. It could be round ligament pain as well because every once in a while it's like a quick pain on my left side. I think I have had the Braxton hicks contractions. These are usually about once every couple of days. It's the weirdest sensation that I can't explain but like Pbc said, it's kind of like uterus stretching but it feels like it's happening really slowly then it stops. I do know that I've been feeling the baby a bit more these past couple of days so maybe he just destroying things down there, haha.

My midwife advised me when I asked about cramping the other day that cramping is normal throughout the pregnancy, so long as it's not accompanied by bleeding, spotting, or fever. If you have any of these, please give your doctor a call. I'm sure all is well and you're just experiencing further stretching and regular pregnancy related aches and pains. Good luck!

Could it be braxton hicks maybe? Apparently, that's also normal at this point and I think I've been getting them for a while now. Mine feels like a sudden tensing of my uterus. Only lasts like a minute or so. I don't get much cramping UNLESS I feel really stressed out for some reason.

Cramping is normal throughout your pregnancy. Now if it becomes severe and you can't stand straight and have bleeding, then there is a problem. But it sounds to me all is normal in your case!
