Q: Possible Chemical Pregnancy :s

Hi all,

I'm a bit confused - I got a BFP on Tuesday 10/11dpo which was the day I was due to start AF. I think I O'd on CD17/18 got +OPK CD16/17.

Anyway I started light spotting - really light spotting the afternoon after I got my BFP. On Thursday at some point I bled a little. Probably about a teaspoon or two. I had bleeding in my previous pregnancy with suspected m/c so made an appointment to see the dr on Thursday.

She basically told me they cant do much at this stage (which is what I expected to hear) and that it's possible it's not a viable pregnancy. Wait it out and to test 10 days after the bleed to see if I still get a positive test....

I am going out of my mind. I'm still only light spotting
since my BFP 5 days ago.

Any insight or experiences would be appreciated - I thought I'd be bleeding heavier than this if I was losing the pregnancy?

Thanks :)

I'm sorry you are going through this, I was going to say that in Jan. I had 2 BFP's then the day after those it was Neg. and the rest were, I didn't start bleeding for another week, that was a Chemical Pregnancy... but I am now 15 weeks with this baby, even had 2 scares of spotting at 5 & 6 weeks but all was ok. I know it can be hard but keep your head up and know that miscarriages happen because something is wrong with the embryo and you will soon get that BFP and have a beautiful baby in the end.

My only insight is to possibly check your progesterone level as low progesterone can cause spotting. Good luck.
