Q: What kind of toys would you recommend for baby???

So my "mother-in-law" said I should put more clothes and toys on my shower registry. I have NO idea what toys to add. I already have a sound soother/projector, a mobile, bouncer, swing, & tummy time mat. What am I missing? In your opinions, what are the best baby toys for the first few months or so of baby's life??

Our daughter LOVED the "Oball" because it is super easy for them to grip and was one of the first things she was able to pick up and shake. Ours also rattles. A floor mirror would be great too. They're unbreakable and usually in a soft case that stands on the floor. It can really help with tummy time and our daughter is now almost 6 months and still loves the mirror! Those are both pretty small things, but are things I buy for friends having babies... did you by chance register for a Rock N Play?? That thing is AMAZING and they're not very spendy either. Not sure what we would have done without it.. 10 or so of our friends would say the same. Ours is the no frills version - no vibration or self rocking.. and it was amazing. Have fun!!!

I registered for and received some items for when baby is bigger. I got a jumperoo which she has already tested out for a few mins at a time at 3 months and she loves it. I think it's going to be a big hit in another month or 2. I also got a walker and learning table that she won't use for awhile. Honestly she doesn't have much interest in toys yet but she likes anything that hangs above her, especially musical toys like mobiles and hanging stroller toys.

Not a problem! =))
Ooooh totally forgot, Sleep Sheep. It plays various sounds and a heartbeat, comes in regular size and travel size (on the go) for carseats/strollers etc. It comes in handy for kids that get used to a sound machine but ur not in a place where u can bring one with u.

Soft rattles and teething toys were a big hit with my kids. We also had a mat for when DD was on her back, it had a bunch of toys that dangle above her so she could bat at them and eventually work on her hand-eye and grab them. Anything small and soft, is perfect. EVERYTHING goes in the mouth (eventually), so keep that in mind when buying/requesting things.
