Thanks everyone I have only just seen this. I went for my scan and seen the sacred with a faint shadow inside, they said it was good and it was everything they expected to see at my stage I'm back next week when I will be 7+4 so hopefully will be totally different

Usually at that point the most you'd see is a gestational sac. Anything more and you'd be incredibly lucky to.

It depends on how good their ultrasound machine is. You should see a gestational sac and probably a yolk sac. It would be iffy whether or not you could see a fetal pole and heartbeat. I have heard of a very few women seeing a heartbeat that early but it's not common. I had an ultrasound at 6+4 and saw the baby and heartbeat. Do you know what your hcg level is at? Over 1,000 you should see the gestational sac and over 10,000 you could see a heartbeat.

You will likely only see the sac this week, but that should at least verify where the baby implanted and give you a little peace of mind until next time. :)
