Q: Scared to death that's it's an ectopic pregnancy.....

So here it is..... Currently 4wks3dys (18DPO). Had an ultrasound yesterday which was scheduled before I got pregnant due to pelvic pain. I just happened to get pregnant before and. Ultra sound technician said she believes she sees a gestational sac (please see my pic as to what we saw). She seemed very positive about it and I left in the best of spirits. Received a phone call from my doctor today and she said that they could not rule out the "sac" as an ectopic pregnancy, a cyst or a gestational sac due to me being so early. Just the whole conversation put me over the edge. HCG levels were: 11DPO-48; 13DPO-202; 16DPO-955. I've read that increases like this could also be an ectopic pregnancy. I'm losing my mind! Please give me opinions, experiences and advice. I would really appreciate it!

Losing your baby is the scariest thought, and no one would likw to experience somwthing like that even in the wildesr dreams. Same is the case with an ectopic pregnancy, here, the fetus attaches itself in place else than the wall of uterus, hence, causing extreme pain resulting in a near fatal miscarriage. It's a thought deadly enough to make you scares to the very core. But before jumping on to conclusions by merely gussing your pains or hormonal level is an act of foolishness. You will only stress yourself sick, not just you but even your baby. Stay aware of the pregnancy body levels to be aware of what you are going through. The normal HCG trend during a pregnancy is usually on its peak during the 2nd and 3rd month. I think this justifies your sudden boost in HCG levels. Of course every thing during a pregnancy is indicative of somwthing, either good or bad. But you need to keep your calm with anything that come towards you. Worrying wil only make it worse.
