Although, in most of the cases the HCG levels indicate nothing more than just a few good news. According to the general HCG level trend, it is on the peak during the 2nd and 3rd month of pregnancy. Hence, your sudden boost can indicate that you have been mistaken in calculating your pregnancy date, you are more like to be further along in the pregnancy that what you have calculated. Another reason can be that you might just be pregnant with twins, due to which the HCG levels have suddenly doubled in amount. Well, you don't have to worry about anything. Just visit a doctor and have your ultrasound done. I am sure it will be either of the above-said things. Take care and stay safe.

Hi shannon,
Congratulations for soon going to have a baby. All the ladies these days are going under a lot of stress related to their HCG levels. And it is okay to be feeling like that until before you have a detailed idea about what and how the relative HCG levels should be. HCG stands for the human chorionic gonadotropin hormone. This is released by the female body only during undergoing a pregnancy. This hormone is released from the ovary and is responsible for holding the baby within the womb, and, thus proves very important, as you could have judged by now. But too much of everyone's surprise, this hormone has an irregular trend that keeps on fluctuating in every woman. No two woman will have the same amount of HCG levels at a given time. This is because every woman has a different body endurance and ovary functioning. Therefore, different HCG levels. But it can also be concerning at the same time in women having ovarian diseases, or if they have undergone IVF treatments.
