Q: Extremely thirsty at night!

Does anyone else get extremely thirsty through the night? i wake up several times because my mouth is so dry it's like the Sahara desert but even though i sip water thru the night it doesn't quench my thirst! It's a awful feeling and i worry it's going to cause damage to my teeth. any suggestions?

Yup. I don't know why but this always happens to me during pregnancy. Which is quite unfortunate because I have to then pee 10 times a night because I can't go back to sleep thirsty. I wouldn't worry about it, but do mention it to your doctor. Thirst can be a sign of high blood sugar which can be triggered in pregnancy. So, it is worth bringing it up for sure! I never had diabetes with my pregnancies, just extra thirsty!
