Q: Braxton Hicks Take Over?

Okay, I had one BH contraction when I was 20 weeks pregnant. It wasn't painful, just a tightening that made it hard to straighten up. Starting yesterday, though, I am getting real vice-like tightening that is painful, slowly turning into what feels like a Charley horse before beginning to pass. There's no pattern, they go away after a while but I'm still getting them today. I am 35 weeks tomorrow. I know it's not labor, baby doesn't feel even remotely ready, but are these still considered BH?

Yes, those are still considered Braxton Hicks, but the fact that they are painful could mean your body is gearing up for labor. Or not. :) FX she stays put for a few more weeks!
