Q: Nervous about my follow up today

I spent my Valentine's Day in preterm labor finally got my labor and contractions to stop after giving me a shot of medicine that stung very badly since then anytime I'm on my feet for a long period of time or when I've gone to the store to pick something up I start having very intense contractions again. I'm worried that if I tell the doctor this today they will try to bedrest me until I'm full term. I've other kids and a toddler and a lot of work that needs done daily around the house so bedrest isn't an option and it's stressing me out very much.
Has anyone else been through this before or is going through it right now?

I already know she's on the bigger side. I had a scan last week and have another next week to recheck size my last daughter was 9lbs 10oz and she got stuck and ended up having a dislocated shoulder :( they won't induce me and won't allow a vaginal delivery after 39 weeks. I'm kind of devastated about it. They said the preterm labor could of started because I've a lot of fluid and the baby is measuring bigger than what she's suppose to. They asked if I was dilated when my cervix was checked and I believe they said it was closed. I guess I'll see what my regular OB says next Wednesday.

Yes I went into preterm labor with my daughter when I was 33 weeks. I had lost my mucus plug, having strong contractions and was 2 cm dilated and was 50% effaced. I was put on strict bedrest for 3 weeks. But I didn't have any children. But I can tell you to try to stay as hydrated as possible. Being dehydrated will make you have more contractions. Also, try to stay off your feet as much as possible. But I will also tell you my daughter was huge when she was born. 9 lbs 9 oz and I had to be induced then. After she was born the doctor said it was possible that I was actually further along than they originally thought. Maybe see if you can get a ultrasound and just see the size and anatomy of the baby. Good luck hun!!
