Q: Test line lighter than control line

I just took a pregnancy test, I am around 5 weeks and 3 days. The test line was lighter than the control but it was only a 2 hour hold and I had just got done with breakfast so I had been drinking. Should I be concerned? The doctor is who told me that I was pregnant 2 days ago so this is my first positive pregnancy test so I can't tell if it's darker than before or what.

If it makes you feel any better, with my sonnI found out at 5 weeks and the pregnancy tests were really light. He is a happy and healthy almost 8 year old now!

Positive is positive. So congratulations! Take a deep breath and try and relax. If you still find yourself worried you can always opt for a quantitive Hcg Beta blood test. That is what I did. It will tell your doctor the exact amount of the hormone in your blood. And then you will have another one 48 hours later and if the number doubles (essentially) then your baby is on the right track to a healthy 9 months! I have to go for my second one tomorrow. I am also 5 weeks(4days). Good luck! I hope I was of some help! Congratulations!
