I wouldn't recommend you to be on a plane, either. Especially during your pregnancy. But as it is important for you to travel, i will suggest you consult your doctor. But as you are concerned with the metal detectors, a few airports does agree if you tell them to not go through the metal detectors.Just tell them you are pregnant and would prefer the pat down. Sometimes they'll just let you through the metal detector and you won't get felt up.

Hi there! I'm a flight attendant and I am constantly going through airport security. When I am in uniform I don't have to go through the body scanners and I suggest you don't either. Just tell them you are pregnant and would prefer the pat down. Sometimes they'll just let you through the metal detector and you won't get felt up! My OB says flying is perfectly safe during pregnancy just remember to comply with the seat belt signs!

I just flew at 4 weeks. I did the regular metal detector going down, but declined the full body scan coming home 5 days later. I chose a pat-down instead.

I flew in my first trimester, granted it was only an hour, but i went through all the scanners etc, you will be fine. The only thing i would say is that i had terrible morning sickness and whilst i managed to control it on the hour flight, just make sure you take snacks and stuff and try and walk around the cabin during the flight :)

Hello
I have flown twice since finding out I was pregnant. Once at 12 weeks and once at 15 weeks.
I went through the metal detectors both times. (regular ones)
If they were those new once that puff air on you or do the full body scan, I wouldnt have gone through.
Im this case I would have said that I was pregnant and could I have a female TSA agent pat me down.
If you feel any concern at all, just ask for the female agent.
Hope this helps
Safe flying!
