Q: Movement the last couple of weeks

Is it normal to not feel a lot of movement the last 2-3 weeks of pregnancy. Last Friday, i didn't feel much movement and went to be monitored and everything looked good, however I am still not getting the 10 movements in 2 hours, even when i drink cold sugary drink. Just wanted to know if this is a normal experience.
Thanks

The exact same thing has been happening to me. And (as Murphy's Law would have it), as soon as I start panicking and thinking I should go get it checked out, His Excellency decides to do a bit of breakdancing acrobatics to make up for any 'lazy' days/hours! ;-) I asked my midwife about it at my last appointment and she said it's inevitable that their movement would change and/or reduce as they are running out of space... :)

Thanks Plum. Of course after I post this, the little guy decides it is time to move again. He was very active all morning. I don't know if he was just having a lazy day, or if i was just not noticing it. I will ask at my appointment on Friday, assuming he keeps up with moving.

I'm at nearly 39 weeks and definitely the pattern of movements has changed. Not as frequent but when baby moves I definitely know about it!! If you're worried there is no harm in getting things checked again. As they run out of space they can definitely move less.
