Q: Not quite 4 weeks and bleeding

Hi, I had an early positive hpt at 8dpo, then had 2 more positives 9dpo. 11 dpo I started bleeding. I took another test the evening after I started bleeding and there was still a very faint positive, but it was super faint. I am now bleeding as though I were having my period.

I suspect it was a chemical pregnancy, however I have heard of people that have miscarried a twin and continued on to have healthy pregnancies. Has anyone had this happen? I've had 3 children and NEVER had a positive test 8dpo! I've had very faint ones right around when my period was due and that's about it.

From what I've read, it's quite common to have a vanishing twin. This can also result in a dip in hgc levels due to the twin not "sticking".

I'm not holding much hope due to the fact that I'm bleeding like a normal period, but I just thought I'd see if anyone else has had this happen?

Thanks!

Well, this is getting serious. I think you should consult some doctor about it. You should tell him or her about your condition. I guess he could only help you with this matter. It's all going to be just alright. Don't worry about it. I guess it's everything just because of the process. Still, I don't want you to rely on it. You should definitely consult some specialist for your help. I guess it'll be alright. Don't worry about it. Everything is going to be fine. Be strong.

I had a vanishing twin after transferring 2 embryos through ivf. Both stuck and I had 2 gestational sacs, 2 yolk sacs but only 1 baby. It took until 11-12 weeks though for the 2nd sac to be absorbed and "vanish". Initially I had regular and strong hpt results and hcg levels. There was never any dip because the 2nd baby didn't develop. It was quite the opposite actually. My levels were high and doubled quickly just like if I had 2 healthy babies in there.
