With my last pregnancy, I was high risk and doc had me to progesterone injections once a week (at home) starting 2nd trimester. His nurse said injections are far more effective for carrying pregnancy to term, versus taking any other type, vaginally or supplements

That could very well be why it was lower -- I'd still talk to your dr about it if you're worried, though!

My first test was done before I had anything to eat. The second was in the afternoon

Some drs don't believe that progesterone supplements actually do anything to increase your progesterone levels, so that might be why he didn't prescribe you anything. But if you want to supplement anyway for peace of mind he should (hopefully) prescribe you something.
As for your progesterone levels dropping, progesterone rises and falls throughout the day, and is lower after you eat something. So that could explain why your progesterone was lower with a second reading, it doesn't necessarily mean your progesterone is trending down.

You need to find prenatal vitamins that work for you. What was wrong with the ones you were taking if you dont mind me asking?
As for your progesterone levels, at 6 weeks my doctor told me it was low and I was at high risk for miscarriage. I am 12 weeks now. He prescribed me crinone 8% which is a tube filled with cream that I have to put in my area. They didnt prescribe me anything at first they waited to see if it was going to rise which it did but it was rising enough which was when they prescribed it for me. I am still taking it faithfully until my prescription is finished.
