Q: Hcg level 215.7 at 5w3d it's seems low is this normal? I'm so scared

I had my first HCG level drawn yesterday and it was 215.7 and I'm freaking out because that seems kind of on the low side for being 5 weeks and 3 days. Is there anyone out there that can help me or that is had a level this low and still have a viable pregnancy? I am about ready to break out into tears because I just don't know if I should allow myself to be happy.

I'm about to lose my mind my progesterone was extremely low so they started me on the highest dose of the pill form today I took it about an hour ago I'm cramping like period cramps I'm not bleeding but this doesn't feel good I'm hoping that this pill will put enough progesterone in my body today to save it but I'm starting to not feel so optimistic anymore

I just think no matter how much I try to let all of this go I won't be able to until I have my ultrasound. She told me she doesn't think I need a repeat hsg so I guess all is good for now. Thanks for cheering me up. I just can't get my previous loss out of my head. I want this so badly.

Don't hold too much stock in ur temps. Babies grow at roughly the same rate but not always. Hard to explain so we'll use my cycle as a perfect example. I charted temps and know when I O'd. Sure, I could be off by a day but I don't think so. Anyways, betas done at what temps say was 5+2. Came back just over 9k. Had an u/s done and baby was 5 days ahead of my O date...I hadn't even had sex yet. I conceived like 2 days before intercourse, according to my scan.
With DD, again, charted everything. She was behind in growth and betas were 6,821 at 6+2 (temps)...normal but low end. Temps help us but in the end, the baby grows at his/her specific rate. Most Dr's allow a 4-5 day buffer for that stuff cuz it can vary so much. Try to relax, stressing will do more harm than good. Today, u are pregnant! =))

And that's what I'm worried about I have always tracked my BBT and I know those calculations are correct according to my ovulation date I am 5 weeks and 4 days today I did just got off the phone with my doctor and she said that number is fine and it puts me right at 5 weeks she is just waiting for my progesterone level to come back because I may not be doubling as fast because that could be low I just wish they would hurry up and get that lab back so I can stop stressing so much. O

You will have a better indication after your second draw, which should be done 48 hours later. Those numbers sound fine to me. You might even be earlier than 5 weeks 3 days...

I don't have experience to share on this but maybe this thread will help. Check the response from Kimberlysoonmomof3. Hopefully you can go in again soon and see how your levels have changed since then. I hope it's just on the low side and will go up up up!
