Q: Wanting to know the different feeling between just peeing and waters breaking?

Hey ladies, I still have a few weeks (37+2) but as aware bub can come when he wants. What I want to know is when my waters are going to break, will I have a really bad need to pee, as I keep having urges he's pushing and I'm going to pee my self, I know everyone and every pregnancy is different, I would just like to get my head around the thought of it lol.

So the relief of peeing, or just finding a puddle/wet pants. No urge to pee at all?

Congratulations!
I can tell howexcited you must be feeling, already, right? It is completely normal, and legit! There was no peeing sensation when my water broke in fact it sounded like a pop and then a gush definitely able to tell the difference.you can actually feel it like a water balloon exploading, and the liquid flowing out as a hurricane. There is no sensation in this flow of liquid, like in a pee. Rather this is just like water leak, and it has no pain. Only you will start to feel heavy in your lower abdomen. In some cases it doesn't break until before you arenjust about to give birth and have started dilating, and contractions, both. So, just like everything else, this is totally umiqur with every women, and is different, too.

My water never broke on it's own. I had been in labor for about 20 hours and they finally broke it because I had been fully dilated for about an hour but the bag was bulging into the birth canal and stopping the baby from descending. Not long after my water was broken I was pushing.

I do remember being told that if you aren't sure if it is pee or a slow trickle, to change your underwear once or twice and see if it continues to get wet. If it continues to get wet over time then it could be your water slowly trickling and you should get checked just to be safe as the risk for infection goes up the longer your membranes are ruptured.

I was already in labor when my water broke. In fact, he started coming a few min after my water broke. I had to pee and the contractions put more pressure on my bladder but i could tell the difference. I think waters typically break after labor starts but not always. I had a coworker whose waters trickled slowly and didn't actually break. I think i could tell the difference because it's more of a fast gush vs continuous stream like urine. Also, you can tell it's a different hole like you can when your period comes.

Just to let you know, your water might not break until later. Mine didn't break until I was at the hospital and pushing, about a minute before my son was born. I didn't even realize it had happened at that point.

Thanks for your responses :) I keep getting sensation he's pushing out some a little painful and others just really uncomfortable and it doesn't matter what I do, walk, sit or walk again lol. He's not breach. In the last month I've been having to go in and out of hospital numerous times to find I'm having both braxton hicks and contractions, bh are little painful at times, so that's the reason for some of the trips there, apart from having possible appendicitis back at 32 weeks but that was cleared up. I kinda only have here to talk to anyone about all this, no close friends, or they've had there baby too long ago and even my mum can't remember much lol so anyone's input is helpful even though everyone experiences pregnancy differently. :) muchly appreciated thanks

There was no peeing sensation when my water broke in fact it sounded like a pop and then a gush definitely able to tell the difference.....with my last son my water broke while I was asleep I still heard the pop and was hemorrhaging from my placenta separating so my waters contained a lot of blood, again very different from urination
