Q: Baby's kicks don't feel as strong.

I started feeling the little fella moving around 18 weeks and by 23-24 weeks he was rocking my belly pretty hard. Sometime in my 25th week I started experience "growing pains" as described by my doctor. The pains have since calmed down but it seems so has he. I still feel him move and kick all the time, but they don't feel as strong as they had been. I assume it is because my body has made more room and he is just in different positions, but as a first time mom to be it's hard to let go of the worry and I guess I am just looking for a little reassurance.

I agree, movement is movement. As long as the amount of movement is consistent that is all that matters. As the baby grows they run out of room to do the massive kicks and flips, you start to feel the baby rolling and pressing/pushing out as they run out of room. They could have also changed their position or be positioned behind the placenta. If you think that movement has decreased a lot, eat or drink something cold/sweet and lay down to relax on your left side. Ice water normally works for me.

And mention it to your doctor at your next appointment, they should be able to give you more advice on what is normal and when to call them about decreased movements.

The most important thing is you are feeling consistent movement. At times, the movements won't be as strong depending on the position of baby and of course where your placenta is, etc.

I'm sure baby is fine. They do have periods during which their activities and movement seem calmer and then bam! The kicks are vigorous again.
