I informed my parents and my boyfriend and I informed his parents after I was in the second trimester. It was quite emotional but great, too

I told my mom, brother, and grandparents the same day I found out. I was nervous as I am a ftm and needed all the support I could get.
My bd told his parents the next day. We didnt announce to everyone else until I was 11 weeks.

With my first, I told my parents, siblings right away. Then we had a miscarriage in between and we decided to wait with this pregnancy. My sister knew right away, needed someone to talk to about it, but we didn't tell my parents till 13 weeks. I felt bad after though. I never keep secrets from my mom and she mentioned that I could of told her right away regardless, which is true.

NamelessAria - That's EXACTLY what I was going to post, lol. Told the whole family at Thanksgiving, and I was 13 weeks at the time. My husband and wanted to wait until at least 12 or 13 weeks before telling our family which was difficult of course, but we felt like it was the right thing to do. But it is still up to you in the long run, Do whatever feels right TO YOU. =)

My husband and I told my in-laws when we saw then for Thanksgiving. I was 11w6d. We were going to wait till the second trimester but we're not sure if we'll be able to visit for Christmas so we probably won't see them again for a couple of months. We told my MIL that it was OK for her to tell whoever. I think she called just about everyone on the East Coast within 15 minutes of finding out herself.

I doubt we'll do an announcement on social media but if we do we'll probably wait till around week 18 when we have the anatomy scan.

To me the biggest decision in telling people earlier vs. waiting is deciding how you'd feel and how'd you want to handle things if, God forbid, you had a loss. Would you want everyone to know so you'd have their support? Would it make things harder to have to retract all that good news? Once you figure out the answers to those questions you'll likely know if you're rather tell now or wait.

Best of luck!
