Q: Is it okay that you are only gaining half a pound a week when you are expecting twins?

Hello,
I am alomost in my third trimester and am pregnant with girl twins. I am getting very nervous that I am only gaining half a pound a week. I am suppose to gain 37-54 pounds and I have only gained 15. Should I be worried and see the doctor or is that perfectly normal?

I would assume that if your doctor hasnt said anything than it is not an issue. But bring it up also.

Yeah, I would see your doc. From what I can work out, I think this would only be normal if you were overweight/ obese to begin with. But every woman and every pregnancy is different. Maybe your doc can help determine if your diet is healthy and babies are getting the nutrition and calories they need.

That's a deep question...I would lean towards asking your doctor whom has more information. Such as starting bmi, diet, and many other factors.
