Q: D&C or No?

So there's no question that I'm having a miscarriage. The baby's heart stopped beating and s/he stopped developing about two weeks ago. I'm currently cramping, bleeding, and passing a lot of tissue (sorry... TMI). It reminds me a lot of the after-birth feeling. Anyway, I do have a D&C scheduled for tomorrow, but my cramping and passing clots has stopped, and my bleeding has slowed to almost a normal, albeit heavy, flow. What do you ladies think? Skip the expense and pain of the D&C or go through with it to end this whole process faster? Thank you.

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss as they are never easy (hugs). As for the d&c, I'm wondering if the doc can take a look first to see what's going on? I would think if you've already passed some tissue, you can at least opt for an opinion prior to any surgeries. I always opted for d&c but I never passed anything and couldn't take waiting it out. I would try to talk to your doc about it first and maybe postpone it till you have some answers.
