Q: How many weeks do you have to be to be in the "safe zone" ?

I am 6 weeks and 4 days today and this is my first pregnancy. I was just curious what week you would consider being in the "safe zone" and what week would you recommend to wait until to tell everyone?
Thank you in advance :)

After a heartbeat is heard or visualized via ultrasound, the rate of miscarriage significantly drops. Of course 12 weeks (the end of the first trimester) is also a safe bet, but if you're anxious to tell people, after the heartbeat is also a pretty safe bet :) congrats!

Statistically, once you get past the first trimester, you odds of having a miscarriage go way down. It's not a guarentee, but the vast majority of MC happens in the 1st trimester. So get past that, and you're probably good. :-)
