I have a Sonoline B - it had great reviews and was on sale when I bought it. It arrived when I was 9w3d and it took about 20-30 minutes and I found the baby's heartbeat. I watched a ton of you tube videos. What worked best for me (everyone is different) is listening on an empty bladder and also putting a pillow under my pelvis to lift it up. At that early I had to really point the wand downwards at the top of my pubic bone. I found it easier each time I tried and I also learned where baby liked to camp out down there. Good luck!

I bought the Sonoline C1 back in 2013, I found my daughter's HB the day it arrived, 8w2d, loud and clear. And found my son's at 7w4d. There was a lot of white noise at that stage, but it was loud and clear by 8wks.
U could try one now, just go in realizing that u may not find it yet and that's perfectly normal. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with u or baby. If u can do it and not cause extra worry to urself, then go for it! If u think ur gonna dwell on the fact that u can't find it, give it another week or so, then buy one. U don't wanna buy something that's meant to calm u, and create more stress. It's not worth it.
Lemme know if u need any tips! Good luck! =))
