Klekle: The moroccan theme sounds interesting! I've been to Morocco and the culture is very cool. I hope you can post some pictures for us when you have things coming together!

JL: I hear you on the Babies R Us stuff. I don't know any pregnant people besides one so it's not about everybody having it, but it's about the prices!! So I'm going old school winnie the pooh. Stuff from my aunt and my childhood are going to be the main decorations. The Disney store also has 50% off all of the stuffed animals and they have the whole Winnie the Pooh cast so maybe can fill in the shelves with the small $5 characters to get the whole crew in stuffed animal form. Can't wait to hear what you decide to go with! My friend decided to go with baby giraffes. It's actually super cute, Target has this great baby giraffe stuff. As for the back pain, Have you bought one of the maternity support braces? I got one at Motherhood maternity for $13 and it doesn't cure all but it takes some of the pressure off. Otherwise I have my chiropractor loosen things up every 2 weeks.... I find sitting hurts more lately, before it was just bending.

AFM: Is it 9am tomorrow yet??? I'm so glad I got 4 extra hours at work today because being busy is a GREAT distraction! I can't wait to wake up tomorrow. I'm actually excited we get to leave early to avoid traffic and fill out registration forms, because that means we are closer to finding out all we want to find out! There is a target right down the street from the hospital, so I'm thinking I'll probably stop there before we head home! Hubby has agreed to wait a couple hours before going to work so we can revel in the joy. I'll have to ask about the heat transfer. I saw pictures of that a while ago.

As for symptoms, the rash is by far the worst part right now! I stay up at least 3 hours in bed with horrible pains and itching. I try ice packs, cold clothes, more cream, nothing helps quickly. This is going to be the worst pregnancy symptom by far, mostly because I can't do anything at all to treat it until I'm done nursing! The migraines are about once a week now! WOOO! I'm not sure if it's the acupuncture or the magnesium or both, but I'm keeping up with both of them. I don't mind taking the medication once a week. Much better than 7 days a week!

I've also realized that the baby room is seriously the cleanest room in my house right now. I make sure we vacuum it once a week even though we aren't in there at all! All of the toys are in one bin, and everything is in the place that it should be. I even started organizing the closet. Since we are foregoing the bureau, I am looking into canvas containers for the changing table which has two shelves, and plastic containers for the closet. Any suggestions on affordable ways to do these? I know it'll still be cheaper than the bureau!

We are having our Xmas party on Saturday (my husband things it's crazy that I want to throw an Xmas party while pregnant, but it's tradition and I can't break it!). Trying to find a cute dress or cute shirt to wear with leggings, also to wear on Xmas eve/day. I've been finding that a lot of the dressy things don't look right on me. Anybody else having this issue? I'm going to try again this week to find something, but I don't want to spend more than $45 on the whole outfit, preferably sale rack and about $35.

Anyways, I had a stressful work day so I'm happy to be able to talk about fun things with you girls! So glad you are all here, who else would I talk to preggy things about??

Allie, I'm so excited to hear from you today!!!! I will also be checking into the brace. The yoga is helping a little but now my hips are worse off. I know its just the deal with pregnancy but waking up with cramps stinks. Also we decided to go with Dr. Seuss themes. I'm a Dr. Seuss nut and have been collecting books for sometime now and thats actually what the hubby has been reading to the baby.

Klekle, yes we need pictures.

Kaw, how is the owl hunt going?

Bens, I have no idea how you are able to not find out. LOL, I was dieing to know.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

So baby looked good on the ultrasound. Heart was good, heartbeat was 156 bpm, the spine looked good, neck looked good, etc. Baby measured to date, and 13 oz. They are concerned however about the placenta. They are worried the placenta may stop growing early and not support the baby. They think there is a 25% chance of this happening. The doctor there recommended an ultrasound every 4 weeks. She also offered an amnio but I'm not sure I really want that. Luckily I'll be meeting with my OB tomorrow so we can discuss that then. Also, they said no signs of spina bifida, but they will keep an eye on the future ultrasounds too to make sure a small case of it doesn't show up. Overall I feel my little Gabriella is going to be okay! I'll post ultrasound pictures in a bit. We got to see a lot of great views of her hands and face, but they weren't able to capture them well in pictures, but a few profile pics was good too! Now I must contain my excitement and get some chores done today! ... Can I do it?

JL: Love the Dr. Seuss theme, so cute!!!

Awesome News!!!! I have been stalking you all morning. LOL, happy to hear things went well. At my specialist appointment they where concerned about my placenta being low lying. They are going to be doing more u/s. I think of this as a chance to see our little ones more. Yeah for you lady, btw you totally won't get anything done today. :)

Alli-Congrats on a girl! That will be fun. I hope everything turns out ok with your placenta. And I agree that more ultrasounds is good news. I would love if my insurance would pay for more, I would have them every time. I love getting to see my baby!

I posted some pics on my profile under journal entry of the fabric patterns and ideas for Morrocan theme.

Yay for a baby girl for allie! I am so excited for you, I think because I secretly want a girl. But I will be happy either way. I know, jamie, it is tough! But it is ultimately a surprise I want to keep for that moment... :0)

So allie, does the placenta have something to do with spina bifida? I wouldn't mind having an u/s every 4 weeks... I would love it actually!

Gabriella will be perfect!

I was thinking of you today too!

how is everyone else?

Girls, thanks for all the thoughts!

Bens: The placenta and spina bifida aren't related to eachother, but the protein that they test for those issues is the same. This proten signifies that either can be an issue. Apparently it is 25% chance that there is a placenta issue, 10% that it is a defect, and 1% chance that it is a chromosomal defect. I think I got that right... I'll try to get more answers tomorrow. I will be happy with extra ultrasounds, I trust that those will catch anything that may cause any problems. The only thing with the placenta is that I might have to be induced early if it becomes a problem. That's about all I know at this point.

Klekle: Love the fabric prints! I would love that in a room of my own even!

Oh ok, Allie, that makes sense. thanks for explaining it.

can we talk about exercise? I have been trying to get in exercise, specifically water aerobics, swimming, and pre-natal yoga. But I am finding it hard right now, between things being really crazy at work and my exhaustion. Is anyone else feeling the same way?
