Not a lot going on here. Not really any new symptoms except for frequent urination which started a few days ago. Still no nausea/vomiting! Bloating has improved with change in diet (eating more frequently and smaller meals). Breasts still mildly tender but has not worsened nor have they grown.

We have our first appt in one week! I will be 7+4 at that time. I'm crossing my fingers that they do an ultrasound!!! I swear these days keep draaaaggggggging on as I wait so impatiently for this day :-/ I just want to hear my baby's heart!! <3

That is about it! Thinking of you all as everyone goes in for the first US.

Hi ladies,
Just thought I would check in. Not much going on here except some good old fashion nausea. I get it in the morning and then later at night so mid afternoon I'm ok and get my most work done.

Hope everyone is doing good and everything is going well.

We made our annoucements and it is SUCH a relief to not be keeping it from people anymore. We told all the family first which was great since we got to tell his parents in person at a wedding over the weekend in CO. Did the FB/Twitter announcement together, and IN came the texts from people just shocked that we didn't text them first.

Really?

Whatevs. I guess you can see where some people's loyalties lie, ya know? It's not about being first in line, people!

I'm pretty nauseous in the mornings, still...and it's working it's way through the day. I'm holding on as best I can. We have SO MANY PEOPLE coming for this weekend that I'm overloaded.

Hope you're all well!

Hope all of you are doing well!!

Kat - So glad you got to announce the pregnancy!!! People can be SO self involved it's ridiculous. Not about you, guys!! Are you taking anything for the nausea, is it helping??

Amee - Glad you're doing well!! Feel ya on the nausea. It's the pits.

Anyone else had their first appointments yet?!?! Share the details!!

As for me - We have our first appointment today at 2:30. So grateful I have a toddler to keep up with because it really made the time fly and kept me from obsessing over every little twinge or cramp. Nausea is kicking my butt. I'm fine most of the day, and then 4-5 p.m. hits and I'm pretty much down for the count the rest of the night. It's horrible. Cooking dinner has been pretty much impossible, I can't stand the look of uncooked meats, and don't get me started on the smells. UGH. Also have a bunch of sinus pressure and congestion, which is NOT helping the whole nausea thing. What can I take?!

Take care, ladies!!

I actually AM taking something to help with the nausea, which I also used in my last pregnancy thanks to an ER nurse. :)

My first I tried everything, literally. Zofran, ginger, lemonheads, seabands, accupuncture, small meals, frequent meals, etc. etc. etc. I lost about 16lbs my 1st trimester with my first, dealt with throat bleeding, week long migraines...I couldn't even keep down water. I was always in the ER.

My second was the same, and I was miserable. My 4th or 5th trip to the ER, the nurse I always saw (she was sweet) closed the door and asked me if I've ever tried cannabis. She suggested a puff just whenever I was feeling sick. I had already lost 10lbs and knew nothing else worked. IT DID. I could eat. I could keep it down. I could sleep. I gained my weight back (and then some), and had a beautiful, healthy, intelligent, and sarcastic little boy.

So, this pregnancy is the same. I use what I need just when I need it. If I don't medicate in the morning, I can easily vomit 3 times in half an hour (like this morning). It's my savior.

I must also mention that my doctor is aware of this, and knows it's benefits. Before using this method of medication, I spoke with a LOT of people and did a LOT of research. It's by far the healthiest alternative to any modern medicine.

Kat - NO judgement here! I've actually heard other preggo mamas say the same thing. I'm glad you've found something that works for you!!

Luckily I haven't actually gotten sick yet, just horrible nausea and congestion in the back of my throat which does NOT help. Blah.

Our first US was today! They did abdominal first and found baby immediately! With a heart thumping away at 158. I'm beyond happy! I'm a couple days further along than I thought. Baby measured out to be 8 weeks exactly.

They also found a 4 X 4 cm fluid filled area probably on my ovary. She stated it is fairly common and is most likely a corpus luteal cyst. Nothing to worry about though!

Symptoms are very very mild for me still, besides the fatigue I'm hoping I can avoid the extreme N/V! Hopefully it eases up for you guys..

Now off to tell more family and close friends! Keep me updated as you all go jn!

Hi ladies!!

I just had my appointment today, I am exactly eight weeks (same as Jespa2!). I'm kind of bummed as nothing exciting happened, I just answered questions and got a pregnancy packet which they had already sent me in the mail..odd. Super lack luster 30 minutes in my book. I'm jealous of those who got to have an US at 8 weeks, I think my first is at 12.

Sooo eating is becoming a problem for me atm. Almost everything nauseates me and I've started losing weight, which I know is common so I'm not too worried.

Just curious, has anyone started a little bump yet?

@kmuffmyrt yay for us both being 8+1! You can check out a local pregnancy center or pro-life clinic if you are getting especially antsy, that's what we did since my insurance doesn't kick in for another month and a half. It is at no cost, they will just educate you on pregnancy and have an at-length anti-abortion discussion.

Does a bloated belly count as a bump?! If so, then yes :)

Hey ladies.

So, I'm out. We had our first appointment yesterday and found out we actually have twins, that are conjoined at the heart. Went to a specialist today and found out the heart is outside of their chests, and it looks like their lower bodies are joined as well. They have zero chance of surviving.

To avoid the risk of me having to get a c-section down the road, we are going to move forward and terminate the pregnancy next Monday.

Still in shock. Will try to stay in touch with you wonderful ladies. I wish all of you a Happy and Healthy 9 months!

Gina

Gina, I'm so so sorry to hear this. Such a devastating shock. I'll be thinking of you.

Had my first midwife appointment but didn't do any tests or anything yet. I'm not letting myself get too excited until I hear a heartbeat and know that everything is ok. I'm getting nausea now though and my breasts are still sore - feels like my chest is bruised. I can't complain about the nausea though, as it only seems to hit for a short while and not bad enough that I'm vomiting. Eating protein seems to make it go away. Oh and I'm loving crystallized ginger cubes.

Ginabee I read your post and I am so sorry for your loss. I will say a prayer for you and your family. I know this is a very difficult time for you you will get through this.

I am 11 weeks and a day today. This pregnancy feels like it is going in super slow motion lol. My "all day" sickness isn't as bad as it was my energy level is still -10 but at least I'm able to make it through my work day. I just want to feel normal again. I can't wait until my second trimester hopefully things start to get much better. I go Thursday for genetic testing and I will find out what this lo is. Good luck to the rest of you ladies.......

Hey ladies!! Today marks 11 weeks, and I'm finally starting to feel like a human again. I was able to have my first drinks of coffee, albeit iced, for the first time in about a month today. I don't know if it's that, or the lessened feeling of nausea, but I'm energized and feeling pretty awesome.

I've felt a few flips in the past few days, and it's so amazing. It's definitely true that you experience things earlier with subsequent pregnancies (this makes 3).

I'm ready to start working out again, I think!!
