I posted this in questions then discovered the forum. I need some words of encouragement as I should be 9 weeks, ~3 days but had an ultrasound on 1/7/15 only to discover nothing but the sac, no fetus. They gave me Misoprostol to induce the miscarriage, per their recommendation, which seems to have worked (have ultrasound tomorrow to confirm). I'm so devastated. I'm a strong woman and will keep my chin up and try try again but it's still so upsetting. The doctor told me to wait and try once I have had two periods. Is this what doctors have told you too? I'm trying to stay relaxed because I know that's the only way it's going to happen again but I want so badly to be pregnant "again." I feel so bad that I took this medication to induce the miscarriage but it is what was recommended and the doctor did say that there could be complications if I were to wait and let the miscarriage happen naturally. I need words of encouragement and happy stories after miscarriages. Thank you to all. This website is a blessing!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in August. I had a D&C, even though my body was starting to bleed on it's own. I preferred having the D&C because it felt like closure. My doctor told us to wait until I had one period and then we could start trying again. We conceived our first cycle trying again. I'll be 17 weeks on Wednesday. There is hope. Sending you well wishes and baby dust.

Mal- I'm sorry for your loss I had a similar situation Dec 2013 we took the same medication I was 11 weeks the baby's heart had stopped at 7 weeks my husband and I went through hell it took 10 hours for my body to expel the "product of conception" which was the size of my hand. I was completely unprepared I didn't realize it was going to hurt so much or that I would actually have to deliver by pushing....and so on we did have the sac tested and came back with what's called a partial molar pregnancy so my doc said we had to wait a year and have hcg drawn every week until they reached 0... however We suffered 2 more m/c this Sept and then again the following month Nov 1st my doctor said the reason they tell you to wait is to give your body a chance to replenish it's self, but she also said right after you m/c your cervix is slightly open. And many women find they fall pregnant right after m/c this was my case my last actual period was the end of august got pregnant m/c 5 weeks got pregnant right away m/c Nov 1st 3 months in a row got pregnant currently I'm 10 weeks everything so far has checked out great normal rising hcgs baby is even measuring ahead of time.. my advice would be do what you feel comfortable with. If you can emotionally handle another m/c back to back. Only you know your body my doctor also said it's easier for then to pin point a due date with an actual period we didn't want to wait any longer considering we had been trying for so long....good luck to you my best advice would be relax which I still haven't been able to do at this point I'm so scared I'm going to loss this one too. I hope I helped

I am really sorry to hear about your MC. I hope you are soon able to recover from it. I believe you should have listened to the doctor. As doing it naturally would have been better. However, now that you have taken the medication. Visit the doctor again. Ask them to see the situation inside. It is important to ensure that everything is clean.
