Victoria, glad your kids are feeling better! Poor things. That's great that Isabella is doing so well!

Valerie CRAWLED a whole 2 feet the other day. She face planted but she did it! I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried. My last baby is starting to do all her first things, and for me, they're the last first things I will get to see until my kids grow up and have babies. It makes me sad.

On Monday, Brandt has his check up for his feet in St. Louis. Yet again, I'm nervous. I can't get him to wear his brace for the life of me. He's been really clumsy lately, and I don't know if it's just his age or if it's his feet. His toes are turning further inward, and his right foot seems to be curling more. At the very least, he may be recasted. That would be best case scenario. Worst cast scenario, he will have to have another surgery. I'm praying he doesn't have to have either. Gah. However, we are taking the kids to the zoo after his appointment. We figure we'll be in STL anyway, may as well make a day of it. Plus, we promised Tyler we would go since he did so well at school.

Valerie has her 6 month well check Tuesday afternoon. She's almost 7 months, but yea. She'll have her shots, although I can't remember which ones. I'm curious to see how much she has grown on paper. She just went into 6-9 month clothes like 2 months ago, and now she fits in some 12 month. I wish she'd stop growing so fast.

As for me, ppd is still kicking my ass. I exhausted the meds my OB was able to prescribe me, so I am not on medication currently and I should be. However, thanks to the ACA, I have to have a referral from a PCP to get into a mental health specialist to get back on it. I don't have a PCP and there is a wait list to get into one. The quickest they could get me in is September, and who knows how long it will take to get into mental health after that. But, the process is in progress and that's all I can ask. Needless to say, I am doing a lot of yoga. Lol.

Cattsmeow: That's awesome about Valerie crawling. We definitely have mover and shaker's, lol. Isabella is now doing the army crawl, lunging at things, and turning her body 360 degrees when sitting. She cracks me up everyday. She is such a fun baby.

Poor Brandt! Hoping that he doesn't need surgery and just needs to be recast. It must be so hard at his age to keep his brace on. They are always up and on the go at his age group.

You have such beautiful children. Love seeing all the pictures you post.

PP depression sucks. Glad to hear that you have your foot in the door though. Do they have a cancellation list you can get onto?

Things for us have been very busy but exciting. We are looking into purchasing a newer used minivan, as we have sold our current one to our next door neighbor. Hope to purchase one by Friday. We are also planning a trip to Cape Cod for July as part of our family vacation. Looking forward to relaxing at the beach for a week with the kids and hubby. The kids last day of school is this Thursday, so we plan on doing day trips throughout the summer. Can anyone say, exhausted, lol.

Victoria, I love seeing the pictures of Isabella! She is such a happy baby! Lol.

We didn't make it to Brandt's appointment or the zoo. The truck cost us more than we were expecting so we didn't have enough for gas. He's rescheduled for the end of July.

Valerie had her 6 month well check and shots yesterday. She did great with the shots, only cried after the nurse was done. She did give me the loom of death during, though. Like Mommy, how could you let them do this to me?? Lol. She is 27.5 inches tall, 91 percentile, and 18#14oz, 85 percentile. Her head is off the chart. Lol. She's going to be tall like Daddy. I have a feeling all my children are going to be taller than me. I'm 5'5, and my husband is 6'3. Lol.

Cattsmeow: That stinks that you were unable to get to the zoo. Maybe you can plan on the July trip? Valerie is so stinking cute too. I can't believe how fast they are growing. Isabella has been constipated lately. We ended up having to use a glycerin suppository on her. They referred her to a gastrointestinal doctor for evaluation. We managed to get her to finally drink prune juice and she had an explosion, lol. She was covered in poop from head to toe, lol. A good bath and floor washing was necessary. Thank goodness for tile! We did a day trip to an amusement park last Friday with the whole gang. It turned out well to my surprise. The kids had a blast and Isabella loved it as well. We are in the midst of planning a trip to either Cape Cod or Old Orchard Beach. Should be lots of fun. This weekend we are visiting some friends in Connecticut and heading to the lake. Should be interesting because it will be our first trip in a hotel room with Isabella and the kids. Hoping she remains calm at night, lol.

How are you and the kids doing? When do you plan on moving?

Victoria, poor Isabella! I hope the issue clears up soon. Constipation sucks as an adult and it's worse when it's a baby.

And yes, we are planning on going to the zoo after his appointment in July. We're putting back money from each check so we have enough.

We're all doing great. Brandt has surgery to have tubes put in his ears on the 8th. The ENT said he has a lot of fluid built up and thinks the tubes will help. He thinks it's messing with his hearing, which could be causing his speech delay. So our fingers are crossed.

As far as moving, I don't know when. We're behind in our rent, and while we are making payments every week, they are saying we aren't doing enough to get caught up. We will find out this week if they are going to file for eviction. With out payment arrangements, we will be completely caught up by the end of August. We pay $300 every week so we can get caught up, while still making sure we don't get farther behind, but apparently the office wants all the back payments made now. There is no way we can do that. We can't get a loan, our families can not loan us the money, we don't have enough stuff to even think about pawning anything. So what are they expecting us to do? Reach up our butts and pull out money that doesn't exist? But yea. We're hoping it doesn't come down to eviction, but we are preparing for worst case scenario and seeking a house with a landlord who will work with us on the deposit.

No, not yet. However, I am hoping for one last pregnancy before I hit the big 4-3 next August. If it doesn't happen, then we'll be content either way. I have not told anyone of my family or friends, because I don't want to hear them complain or watch them shaking their heads. I can't stand naysayers, especially since it's my body and I will do with it as I please.

How are you doing? I saw your post on Facebook a little while ago that things are tough right now. Hugs to all of you. If you need anything and I am able to help, give me a shout.

Victoria, I wish you luck on bringing another little one home!

Jessy, how are Asher and your girls doing? How are you?

I'm doing alright here. My husband lost his job Friday, so we are probably going to lose our house within the next couple of weeks. The office here already has the check to file for eviction, but the manager has been holding off on doing it because we have been making payments regularly. Now we can't, and they won't accept other arrangements. I'm trying to take it one day at a time, and trust that my husband will find another job quickly. In the meantime, I am working my tail end off on Jamberry, trying to make enough to at least keep the kids fed and whatnot.

Thanks Cattsmeow! That really sucks about the job loss your husband experienced. If you need any help, please let me know. We usually get paid bi weekly. Our next payday is on August 26th. We should be able to help you and your family on that day if needed. Just let me know because we can just use Western Union to wire some money for groceries etc. Just send me a pm on FB if you need anything.

AFM: Isabella is getting so big. She is getting ready to walk as she totally stands holding onto everything, lol. She even let's go for a few seconds at a time. Her courage is definitely building. She finally cut a tooth with the second one on the way. She says three words already; momma, bubba, and up. She's got the up thing down pat, lol.

As far as trying to conceive again, I think that I am hitting perimenopause. My period has been irregular to say the least. So I truly do not know if conceiving is an option, but we will give it to the age of 43 to try. My last pregnancy took 4 1/2 years to conceive, so it may not be in the cards. I am truly okay with that though.
Jessy: I hope that you, Asher, the girls, and HD are doing awesome.

Victoria, thank you. Very sincerely, thank you. We will be ok. My husband gets his final check Friday, he has already applied for unemployment, he is calling his 401k provider today to see about cashing that out. It's not much, but it will hopefully hold us over until he finds another job or my Jamberry business takes off. I have applied for I don't know how many jobs but apparently I am unemployable. I have been told by at least 6 prospective jobs that because I have been unemployed for 4 years that I am "untrustworthy". Um, excuse me. I am raising 3 kids, which is a full time job in itself, but I'm untrustworthy? I work harder raising my kids than most people do at their job. I don't steal, as that would land me in jail and would mean time away from my kids, which would be detrimental to the whole reason I am looking for a job. Do we need the money? Yes. But it's not worth stealing and going to jail. No way, no day. If we lose our house, we have some friends who have offered to let us stay with them, and I am positive my in laws would let us stay with them if we absolutely had to. The economy and childcare costs in my area make it almost impossible to be a 2 parent working household ($300 a week for daycare during the school year, $400 in the summer when we would have to send my oldest), and that certainly isn't feasible with a minimum wage job, which is all I am qualified for. I am considering going back to school in January, though. I hate the thought of taking out student loans, but there is always enough left after paying tuition and books to help pay living expenses. Oi.

Sorry, I kinda went on a rant. We're keeping the job loss off of facebook, and therefore I have no venting forum.

Hugs sweetie! This is a great forum to vent privately. I won't say a word. It's really no one's business anyway. Sounds like you have a plan in place. That's good, but seriously if you need anything just let me know. If I can help in anyway I would be honored

First of all I love that over a year later the three of us are still checking in here.

Victoria, good luck with the baby making. I hope you get what you are wishing for! How are the kiddo's and hubs doing?

Catts, I'm SO SO SO sorry to hear about your husband loosing his job! That's SUCKS, to put it lightly. I am praying that one of you finds a job very soon! What about applying for a job at a bank? I know that may be a long shot with the days of doing your banking business inside the bank starting to die. BUT You may be able to at least find a part time teller job. I knew childcare in other areas was expensive but yikes!!!! That's almost more than I make a month. I would keep considering going back to school. It may be worth it! UGH! I wish I had something encouraging to say...

We are doing well! Asher is nearly 9 months old, that is blowing my mind. He is ALL boy, very busy, breaking things that I didn't know you could break, LOUD, he had a temper that he inherited from his father and grandfather, and I don't think it will be much longer until he is walking. I have informed my mother that if he acts like he is about to take a step to push him down. I'm kidding, but seriously this working mom thing sucks. He weighs nearly 23 pounds and still nursing like a champ. Surprised the heck out of me, i didn't think we would make it past the first couple of weeks. He still hates a bottle, but my mom has started to put his milk in a sippy cup and he will drink some that way. He loves to eat too!
Girls are doing great, just started school back yesterday. Younger daughter moved up to a new school, and is such a big girl now. The other is in teenager mode, she'll be 13 in November. She is in advanced classes, and band and I couldn't be prouder.
Husband is doing well, he started a new job right before Asher was born. That has been going well but he has worked more hours than we expected since the beginning. Its been a struggle and I'm trying to be supportive but it's been hard. He is an IT director, the stuff he is doing is not really IT related. BUT he helping manage the company and that is VERY good experience. Hoping he either gets a raise soon or enough experience that we can move on. We shall see..

Hope you ladies are doing well!

Jessy,

The kids are doing well. Three out of the four return to school on August 30th. Wow, I still can't believe that I will only have Isabella and my 3 year old grandson to care for while the others are in school. They have had a great Summer. We did mostly day trips to amusement parks, the beach, lake and pools, had some awesome BBQ too. I am in awe that the Summer is almost over. We are planning a beach rental in Old Lyme, CT at the end of September as a close to Summer activity. It's crazy how time flies.

My husband is in IT too. He works as a Rate Analyst for a big insurance company. He and I are doing great. We just celebrated our 10th Wedding anniversary in July. I still can't believe that it's been 10 years already. We had some renovations done on our duplex and did lots of furniture shopping these past couple of months. Now it feels like home. Now I just need to declutter further, but that's an ongoing process. One thing at a time, lol.

How are your home projects going?

awww so glad you guys are doing well! When do y'all get out of school for the summer? You guys start later than we do. But then again it's still summer in August! Happy Late anniversary to you! So sweet! It's crazy how fast the years go by. My husband and I have been together for almost 14 years, and have been married for 13 years. Such a blessing!
It sounds like y'all have had an awesome summer!! I'm jealous you live close enough to make day trips to the beach. We live about 3.5 hours from white sandy beaches.
I bet you will have a lot more time to get your house decluttered once the kids are back in school! Of course then you will have the little ones to tend to.

Our projects are on pause right now. Jeremiah works a lot of long hours so by time the weekend comes around we're both too exhausted to deal with it. And we are also thinking about putting the house on the market, so not sure if we should continue with work or not worry with it. Also we are not sure what will happen with his company. We live in a VERY small area, and this is a large company but economics haven't been good to this company. Anyway SOME very big changes have been happening and now we're kind of in limbo.

Jessy,

Our kids start school on August 30th and get out the first week in June. It's a private Catholic Elementary school up to 8th grade. We are definitely blessed to have been able to prepay most of the school year ahead of time. God has been very good to us. That's wonderful that you have been with your DH for 14 years. That's awesome. I'll say some prayers for you and your family. It is always so difficult to trust in His plans, but His plan never fails.

Thank you, both of you.

Jessy, one of the jobs that told me I was unemployable was a bank. It sucks beyond sucks and it is so disheartening when people tell you that you are untrustworthy because you made the best decision for your family and became a stay at home Mom. I would not trade the time I have been able to spend with my kids the past 4 years for anything.

After talking more with my husband, it looks like I will be going back to school at least part time. Only problem is that I have no idea what I want to do. Lol. I don't know if I should go back for medical coding and billing or business administration.

Also, not sure if either of you would be interested in hosting an online Jamberry party? (Victoria, did you get the samples I sent you awhile back?)

Anyways, Valerie turned 9 months yesterday. The little turd decided she was going to stand on her own AND take 2 steps before face planting into my knees. Then Brandt, oh my little Brandt. He has a speech delay, and only says about 10 words. Last night, I offered him a bite of my dinner, and he politely shook his head and said "I don't want it." I cried. It was very clear and able to be understood. It made me so happy. He babbles a lot, but it's baby babble, so hearing him talk is so special to me. He also said Mommy for the first time about a week ago. I bawled then, too. He always calls me Daddy, so hearing him say Mommy as he was running up to me was just amazing. And Tyler is doing well. He is having some trouble adjusting to being in school again, but I think he will be fine once he gets used to it again.

Um holy moly guys. On birth control, missed a period, took a test and we are expecting baby #3. Our youngest doesn't even turn 1 until Halloween. Freaking out, really freaking out.

Glad to see everyone doing well though!
Victoria I send you all the baby juju I randomly collected. Prayers for a baby on the way for you<3

I have an appointment in two weeks.

T, congrats!

Jessy, still no jobs. :(

This update may end up being long. I apologize in advance.

So my husband still has not found a job. We have been barely skating by. We got Tyler on free lunch at school, and we have presumptive medicaid until the 31st while waiting to hear if we are approved or not. We just got assistance to help with our rent, so we are finally current. However, before the assistance came through, an eviction was filed. Thankfully that is on hold, and we go back to court at the end of November to make sure we are still current and it will be dismissed. We are managing to keep Brandt and Valerie in diapers, but it is getting increasingly hard to do so. I am looking into cloth diapers for back up. Means more laundry, but I can live with that. (Brandt is in no way ready for potty training.)

If my husband doesn't find a job soon, I really do not know how much longer we can keep this up. I may just have to suck it up and go to work at McDonald's. But I am so scared to get a job and leave him home with the kids. His temper has been very short with them the past few weeks, and I hate to even think of how short it would get if I am gone all day. Kwim? He doesn't hit them or abuse them, he just has no patience. I know he is under a lot of stress, but yea.

Urgh. Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well.

Well I was 8 weeks but am currently miscarrying, started late Saturday night. Wasn't something planned but it was still my baby. Planned or not you make a spot for them in your heart. It sucks, I've never had to go through this before. Cramping sucks and clots suck. Any experience with you guys? What to expect, how long this will the bleeding last, coping methods?
Thanks :/
