That's exciting!! We got our ultrasound scheduled for December 21st at 2pm! Hopefully the tech will be able to write down the gender for us and seal it in an envelope. We'll find out with my husband's family on Christmas morning. Our plan is to go to Carter's and pick out a boy and girl outfit and have the cashier bag the one that matches the gender inside the envelope and then we'll open it on Christmas morning. Either that, or we'll have a good friend go into the store and purchase the outfit (with our money) and wrap it for us to open on Christmas morning. Hopefully it will all go as planned! :) Happy Thanksgiving!

We are thinking of having a cake made. Since we are having twins we will have two layers of cake in colors responding to the gender. We are going to cut the cake to reveal the gender. This is sooooo exciting

AFM I am going to have midwife appointment next tuesday and see twin specialist next wednesday.
Just been today to my first prenatal yoga class and absolutelyloved it. Feel so energised and relaxed!

Hope you are all doing well

How exciting Madzik! When do you find out the genders of your babies?

I feel like time is flying by already for this pregnancy! I have my anatomy ultrasound in 3 weeks!! One thing that has become more noticeable is tailbone pain! It hurts if I sit too long, it hurts if I'm on my feet too long. It hurts when I wake up and am getting out of bed... It's very uncomfortable!! I had tailbone pain with my first pregnancy pretty early on, but I blame that on the fact that I was serving at a restaurant and on my feet for long shifts. I was hoping it wouldn't bother me this time around since I'm a stay at home mom, but I was wrong :( Hopefully it will get better before I start feeling REALLY pregnant, lol.

All i am hoping for is healthy and growing.

Hope everyone else had a good week. I will hopefully be posting again tomorrow to say how it went.

So, everything looked healthy at the Ultrasound and it is a BOY!!!
I have to go back in a month to get another look to see if he will cooperate and show us his profile view to see the nasal bone, but everything we could see looked healthy and where it should be.
I have an anterior placenta which the doctor said could explain why i have not felt any movements or kicks yet.
I am just overjoyed to have a healthy little one growing inside of me. I can't wait to meet him in May!

We decided not to do a special gender reveal to our families, just called them up and told them. Not sure if we will be making a public announcement yet or not though.

Can't wait to hear how everyone else's ultrasound goes in a couple of weeks.

Hope everyone is doing well. My husband and I ordered our nursery furniture this past weekend. I am so excited. Now I just have to wait til March to receive it. Hopefully it is not delayed. Other than that I need to start our baby registry. Getting close to halfway there.

Making the baby registry was my favorite part during my first pregnancy! Be sure to put the bigger ticket items on there, too! Depending on where you register (Babies R Us, Target, Buy Buy Baby, etc.) most places usually have a registry completion coupon that you'll get a few weeks before your due date to buy whatever else you want/need that you didn't get already from your registry! Last time, I had received $125 in gift cards from coworkers for my Target Registry. I used my 15% off coupon code, plus saved 5% with my RedCard, too. I got well over $200 worth of stuff and only paid around $70 out of my own pocket. I bought the crib sheets and breathable bumper I wanted, extra swaddle blankets, diapers and wipes (and they had a promotion on Diapers so I got an extra $20 gift card!) nursing cover, crib mattress... :) Be sure to post a picture of the nursery furniture you ordered when you get it!! :)

Hello everyone, Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years.
cheaperbydozen - I am so happy for you, hope everything goes well and congratulations.

Christmas went great for me, Lots of time with family and friends. And some nice relaxing time as well. My husband bought and installed some shelves for me for Christmas to display our wooden model airplanes and i am just loving them. I didn't quite make it to midnight on new years, but did make it till 11, so that is good for me.

In sadder news, we finally got the diagnosis for our Siberian husky. He has a congenital defect that has caused irreversible lung damage (bronchiectasis). He also presently has a collapsed lung lobe. We are hoping optimistically that he will make it another 3 years (he is only 5 right now), but could be only a year.

I am really missing rock climbing right now. I used to go 2-3 times a week, and now all i can really do is some traversing low to the ground without a harness. I am looking forward to getting back into that once this boy is born.

Congratulation cheaperbythedozen. Sending positive vibes to you.

We had our 2nd trimester scan today and are super excited to confirm we will have a boy. My 2 year old daughter is very upset she was clearly wanting a girl bubba.

Blondeone12 - I'm so sorry about ur huski. Poor thing.

Dot, Congratulations on finding out it is a boy. I was starting to think i was going to be the only one from this group.

I am looking forward to my second 2nd trimester scan this afternoon. Hopefully we will see everything this time.

Hey ladies! Sorry I haven't checked on this in a few days! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years!

Cheaperbydozen- Congratulations! Sending lots of good vibes and sticky dust to you!!

Dot: Congratulations on finding out it's a boy! :)

Blondeone: So sorry about your husky! :( But I am glad that your 2nd ultrasound went well and you got to see everything you needed to.

Afm: We found out last month that we are having another little girl. She also didn't let us see everything they needed to see during my original scan, so I go back on the 18th for a repeat scan just to be sure they get to see everything. How are you all feeling?

Stephc - I really didn't mind having to go back for another scan. It was really good to see my little boy again. Hopefully your girl will cooperate more this time as well.

AFM - Right now I am feeling pretty good. The only thing that is really bothering me is lower back/hip pain. But i got a pregnancy pillow last night, so hopefully a few nights sleeping with that will help. But i am definitely feeling movement now, which brings a smile to my face. It seems that he really gets active when i drink root beer. Hopefully my husband will be able to feel him soon.

Thanks Blondeone! The ultrasound tech I had at my 20 week scan said I could probably get some decent 3D pictures of my little girls face if we waited until 24 weeks to do the scan! I definitely am looking forward to seeing her again! I just hope everything is growing properly! She wouldn't let them see her heart or her face. They also couldn't get a good profile shot either. She's definitely a stubborn little one! :) Today, she's been kicking up a storm in my belly. Feeling movement is the best part about pregnancy for me! My husband was finally able to feel her kick yesterday, but I've been able to feel her move from the outside for about a week or two now! I've also been dealing with back and pelvic pain for a few weeks. It's definitely uncomfortable! I've tried using my maternity pillow and it hasn't helped me much, but I know for my first pregnancy, that pillow was magical! This time around, my midwife told me it's normal to feel pelvic pain, especially having 2 babies within 2 years, my muscles are still weak from the first time. She also warned me that it will only get worse!! :(

Just thought i would pop in and say that I am now under 100 days until my EDD. So looking forward to May. Also, my Mother has planned my baby shower and I helped her send out the invites. March 5th will be the big day.
Looking forward to that.

Hope everyone else is doing well. We have almost made it to the 3rd trimester!

I can't believe how fast the time is flying for us!

Have fun at your baby shower!! :)

How have you been feeling?

StephC - I know it feels like time is going faster now. Can't believe there is only 3 months til our EDDs. I need to start getting everything together at work for my leave.

I really hope that the baby shower goes well. I am a bit nervous because i don't like to be the center of attention, but I am trying to think of it as a party for the baby, not me.

Right now I am starting to get tired again. I can't seem to get enough sleep, with waking up 4-5 times a night to either roll over or pee. I got a belly band yesterday that I will try out this weekend to see if it can help some of my back pain. Hopefully it does

How are you feeling?
