Thought I would try and get things started here... just joined the new site and just found out I'm preg!!

This will be my second baby. My first is 2yo and i'm looking forward to having a little playmate for her! I'm so happy to be pregnant again! I'm sure I'll feel differently soon, once the worst of the preg symptoms kick in :P

How is everyone else feeling? How far along are you?

Ugh, yeah it always seems to get worse before it gets better. I remember last pregnancy how nice it was the first day I woke up and didn't want to vomit! hahaha! Three cheers for the second trimester!

12 weeks may be a tad early for gender ;) We can always hope though right! I remember with my last, they weren't "sure" until 20 weeks! I had 3 ultrasounds from 16-20 weeks and they just couldn't be sure! It was torture!

Is this your first?

Haha yeah can't wait till 2nd trimester
this is my second pregnancy my daughter is 2 and a half
with her they couldn't tell until 20 weeks either
but I have heard that if you get the right shot of it's bits you can tell by the angle of the dangle more or less lol
so even if they can't tell I'm going to ask if they can give me a pick of it's bits lol
I'm so excited ;)

Hey Mrs Penno!

Im so glad they made this site. i was only just thinking the other day they should make one for us up the duff types! You cant get the same amount of support on the ttc sites as you do on pregnancy ones and i didnt want to stray to another site!

I am 13 w and 2 days according to the U/S i had yesterday! Ive put pics up too :)

I found out the sex on the 25th of may but from my pics i think its a girl :)

How far are you now?

Hi all!

I am Amanda. 5 weeks, 6 days. This is my 2nd. My son is 16 months old and I am excited for him to have a playmate. Althought, we are thinking this one will be a girl. Just feels like it. HA HA!

So far, very annoying nausea, tired, sore boobs. But feeling well other than that.

Hi everyone!

I've been chatting with Amanda on CTP for a while and she just told me about this site since I found out just last week that I'm pregnant!!

My name is Aisha, I'm 24, and currently 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant with my first pregnancy.

I'm glad you ladies are mostly on your second pregnancy so I can ask you guys questions!

So far my only big symptoms are being tired and HUNGRY. I'm starting to bloat already but I think that's mostly from all the food I'm eating. Today I had my first wave of nausea.

Any tips for a first timer?

Aisha - I've always heard that ginger root works for nausea. I think it worked with my first but I tried it today (chopped up in some scrambled eggs) and it did NOT work. HA HA! Maybe I should try eating it by itself!

For nausea, I found room temperature ginger ale worked well, and of course my saviour during my first pregnancy - soda crackers! Also 5-8 small simple meals instead of 3, I found this also helped reduce bloating as well. Lots and lots of water too - that helped my nausea and really diminished headaches as well.

Hey Aisha,

I had acupuncture last week and it helped, its back now but you need a few sessions but it made a world of difference, ill be going back next week.

I tried Ginger tea, fresh ginger tea, ginger beer and peppermint tea, and none of it worked, it did with my last pregnancy.

Staying away from greasy foods helps and EAT before you get hungry as well, as soon as you get a little hungry (even before you realise you are hungry).

I havent found a thing that has completely worked and i'm 13 w and 3 days now!

Oooh thanks everyone! I'm really only starting to experience very quick bouts out nausea but I know it will get much worse! But considering how much I had to overcome to get pregnant, I must say that I'm almost looking forward to the vomitting!

Hello ladies

I have just discovered this site ... he he I am a bit slow obviously .

I am 25 +1 weeks so I have had both my scans. They won't tell you the gender of your baby here so I am planning on going for a private scan in a few weeks - they will also do a growth check then .

Lx

Hey Ladies!

My name is Kat. I am 12 weeks today.

Aisha, sad to say I have been drinking ginger ale religiously and it doesn't seem to do a thing for me. Although, eating the small meals throughout the day really does help me in preventing super hunger or low blood sugar. I'm probably less crabby too haha. I've had major food aversion because of the bad nausea but I find although I have a measure of "guilt" when I can't finish a small portion of food, if I start to feel nauseated or gag while eating or drinking something, I don't force myself to finish it. I found when I tried to "tough it out", those were the only times I actually did vomit.

Hi everyone!

I'm 10 weeks 2 days , and have to say I have been extremely lucky in the MS stakes. Weeks 6 and 7 I felt a bit queasy, but it all cleared up my week 8. I am absolutely exhausted though, and need a nap in the missle of the day.
Luckily myself and my boyfriend run our own business so I can head home when I need to

Hi, Ladies!!!

I'm Jill & today I'm 12w2d preggo with my 1st.

I haven't had ANY morning sickness at all, but recently been having constipation. & I'm thinking that's why I'm just now starting to feel nauseous mostly during the day.

Anyone having the same??

Hi, pooker!! Glad to see you in this forum. I was in the TTC forum from CTP. I was luckylady in that forum.

hi all my names Lianne and i'm 17w4 today.

I had awful MS for about 2-4 weeks and nothing got rid of it so had to be prescribed anti-sickness tablets from my Dr.

Apart from that i havent really suffered much, i'm just tired all the time and been getting headaches the past few days and also keep going dizzy but had a letter through today from my hospital saying my iron levels are low so need to get some iron tablets from them so i'm thinking maybe thats why i'm tired etc all the time?
