About Me

I'm 44 and DH is 42. I have one living son who is 22, and I have 4 stepchildren, ages 19, 18, 16, 10 and my newest daughter at 1 year old. They keep me on my toes and I love a big family..

I've been married for 5 yrs, and we tried to conceive for nearly 3 years after the stillbirth of our son, Oscar at 41 wks. We are so thankful for our Rainbow baby, Phoebe Elizabeth who ended up coming on her sister's birthday! Now I have two daughters born on Dec 13th.

My Birth Plan

Initial plan with the specialist is induction a day or two after Christmas if all is well, or if baby is slow to grow or placenta looks iffy, a week or so before Christmas. Now that I have gestational diabetes, pretty much all of December is a possibility - which will make it a hectic month. She might be induced early. I also have a daughter turning 17 on Dec 13th who might have to share her birthday week with her new sister, and my anniversary on the 5th, so wow -it's coming up so fast.
UPDATE: Her movement was slowing and her fluids dropping at the 37 wk mark, so we induced early and after 2 days, she arrived at 6am on Dec 13th - just in time for Christmas and the same day as her big sister. Totally screwed up her big sister's birthday plans, but she didn't mind and we made it up to her after Christmas when things settled down.
