About Me

I am Sarah, 40 years old and have been with my OH since 1988, when I was 16. We had Michael in 1990, all 9lb 2oz of him and then we concentrated on being a family/career etc. The time never seemed right for another baby. Then Michael was killed in 2008 and our lives just turned upside down. We discussed things for months and decided to try for a baby in 2010. We conceived easily but it ended in miscarriage in early 2011. At the time, that was enough and I had a Mirena put back in. After much soul searching and discussions about children, family and legacies we decided to give it one last shot. I had the Mirena out on Jan 30th and seem to have conceived pretty soon after that! Not bad for old folk in their 40s!

My Birth Plan

At this stage I'm not thinking too far ahead but I love the idea of a water birth and catching my own baby
