About MeI am a full-time editor, analyst, and author. I've published a handful of novels and novellas and am currently working on a series to be released sometime in 2015.
My motherly instincts can be compared to that of a particularly cold counter-top. I'd like to think that I'm more of a warm granite than a cool stainless steel. I like kids, but I've never had one before, so it will be a learning curve, for sure.
My husband and I had tried briefly for a child about 2 years ago, but it didn't pan out and our life situation changed to make it inopportune to have children. We had only just started trying again in November 2014 when I became pregnant immediately, which was a shocker.
I also live with PTSD, which causes some concern for the upcoming baby-birthing, child-rearing plans.
My Birth PlanI don't have a detailed birth plan in place, but I think I'd like to be present for the birth.
I am planning to avoid the hospital at all costs as it is a serious trigger for my PTSD. That and hospitals are gross and for sick people. If possible, I would prefer to do a home-birth or even attend a birthing center. I realize that I may wind up not having too much notice, so I will have to hope for the best.
