Amanda, how have you been? I thought of you and wanted to see how everything is going!

I'm very glad that you have a close relationship with your daughters! That is somthing me and my mom never really had/have. You sound like such an insperational women! And your daughters are lucky to have you as a mother! I've heard of women who chart and it really seems like a good idea. I will definitly have to remember that one!
I think my baby was a wakeup call. I was going down the wrong path in someways... I've dissapointed my mom a couple of times, causing her to lose trust in me. And after that, things were never the same. The one thing that I would never let myself fail at, is school. I get great grades and I do that for myself. Also to make my parents proud for at least one thing I've done right in my life. My mom doesn't let go of my mistakes and sometimes I just don't learn from them... I haven't told her yet. I still have to tell the baby's father.

Also, I do talk to my girls about sex and consequences. I've been trying to conceive for 8 months and charting my body. I have learned so much about my cycles, timing ovulation and intercourse. I share that with my girls so they can know their own bodies. You need to get the book, Taking charge of your fertility. It will teach you how to observe your body so that you descrease your odds of getting pregnant by knowing when you ovulate. Basically, natural birth control. I don't want my daughter to have sex yet but if she does, I want her to be smart about it. I hope this will help you in the future.

Amelia, my daughters and I have a great relationship and they are very excited about the new baby.
I was only 19 when I had her. I was a single parent in the navy. It was so hard. I know that I am wiser and have so much more patience now. I tear up thinking about you and your life and I wish you the very best. If you ever need advice just ask. This is a special time that should be enjoyed.

Can you tell about yourself? How is your relationship with your mom? Have you told her yet? I would be very disappointed in my daughter but I would always love and support her.

Amanda,
Ahh I know :/ I am very young. This will be a very long journey. Our babies are only a couple days apart :) & I hope your daughter trusts you and can talk to you about sex... I wouldn't want her in my position. But yes, I'd love to chat as well! I will be coming here a lot for support...everyone seems so kind
Amelia
