Hey! My name is Brooke! I am 22 yrs old. I just found out that I'm pregnant! Still in shock! Took my boyfriend (of 4 years) and I 6 months until we finally get to say we're PREGNANT!!!

My Birth Plan

I guess I came into this pregnancy not really understanding all there is to labor and birth! Since finding out I have done a lot of reading about pain meds, different position, c-sections, tears...all the fun things!

I have decided that I would like to labor for as long as I can, but then definitely get the lovely epidural that I've heard so much about!

I would like it to only be the doc, nurses, and my boyfriend and I in the room throughout labor and delivery.

I would love to be able to push while in the reclining position. Also no surgical cuts allowed!!!!!

My boyfriend will be cutting the umbilical cord.

Once baby is cleaned off I want the baby to be handed to daddy right away and then to me!

I will then breastfeed as soon as I can.

Would really like no visitors for the first 2 hours.

And I want daddy or I present for everything that happens with baby girl!

I understand that plans can always change, so I will go into labor and delivery with a wish and a open mind!

I can't believe it :) and I can't wait to hear all about it and see pictures! Yay! I am doing pretty good, only 3 more weeks until I will be induced. Crazy to think that he could come anytime now. I had my 36 week appt yesterday and it wasn't my regular doctor but the one who saw me checked my cervix and said I was a fingertip dilated...whatever that means :( I am guessing that since she didn't say anything about centimeters, I am not even close to having any real dilation. Oh well! I will be checking on you in the next few days to hear your wonderful news!!! Good luck sweetie!
