Hey! My name is Brooke! I am 22 yrs old. I just found out that I'm pregnant! Still in shock! Took my boyfriend (of 4 years) and I 6 months until we finally get to say we're PREGNANT!!!

Update: We are having a GIRL!!!!!!!

My Birth Plan

I guess I came into this pregnancy not really understanding all there is to labor and birth! Since finding out I have done a lot of reading about pain meds, different position, c-sections, tears...all the fun things!

I have decided that I would like to labor for as long as I can, but then definitely get the lovely epidural that I've heard so much about!

I would like it to only be the doc, nurses, and my boyfriend and I in the room throughout labor and delivery.

I would love to be able to push while in the reclining position. Also no surgical cuts allowed!!!!!

My boyfriend will be cutting the umbilical cord.

Once baby is cleaned off I want the baby to be handed to daddy right away and then to me!

I will then breastfeed as soon as I can.

Would really like no visitors for the first 2 hours.

And I want daddy or I present for everything that happens with baby girl!

I understand that plans can always change, so I will go into labor and delivery with a wish and a open mind!

Welllllll chances are you might get some diapers, some bibs, random bottles....I didn't really get anything big. My biggest object was a bumbo infant seat. So, start early even if you aren't gender positive. Oh, and i can't wait to send you a gift! :-)
	Comment from sydmama » Posted Apr. 9, 2012 7:09am Trust me, start buying now. (Rather after your first ultrasound.) Buy the bottles or pacifiers, blankets, anything you don't mind being In neutral. Even the crib! I began buying things when I was just 5 weeks pregnant with my first and at this time I was 17 and my sister, whom was raising me because my mom passed away, thought I was dumb for buying so early. Well, it was super smart. Sure it seems early, but you will be so happy you aren't dorkbg
