About Me
My name is Liss. I'm 22, married to my wonderful DH, 34, since September'12. We have had two pregnancies before this, one a blighted ovum in Nov'12 (unplanned), and a second in Feb'13, though HB stopped at 7 weeks (planned pregnancy). This pregnancy was not exactly planned, but I can't say as we were REALLY preventing it that much. DH wanted a break from the emotional rollercoaster, which, who could blame him?
We are due Jan 8th, 2014, and appreciate any prayers your can spare. We'd really like to keep this baby here on Earth.
We also have a spastic cat, Mad Margret. We have 3 Rhode Island Red and 3 Red Sexlink chickens: Polly, Anna, Lulu, Willa, Ruthie, and Winnie. We live in the woods of Downeast, Maine, a stone's throw from the ocean.
My Birth Plan
I am planning a natural home birth with minimal assistance. My mother, sister, husband, and aunt will be there.
It is important to me (and to DH) that I labor naturally and freely. Tromping around the property, walking around the house, laying in the grass, playing with the chickens, etc.
I plan on doing placental encapsulation and we will be planting a lovely tree over our placenta! Weird? Eh, who cares. It's neat!
We are Christians, but we will be doing our own praying, thank you. No minister hangin' around my afterbirth.
