About Me

I am a 25 year old mother of 2 little boys aged 4 and 5. We live in the beautiful pacific northwest in the state of Oregon and love every bit of it. I enjoy horses, skiing, biking, and spending time outdoors with my boys. My 4 year old Noah has Asperger's and despite that he has been one of the greatest joys of my life. He's the smartest kid I have ever known! My 5 year old Jonah is the artsy one with a love of karate and playing pool. He's a bit on the ADD side but he's a real emotional dude! Despite their names we are an atheist family, but maintain traditional moral values and provide a loving home without the belief in God(s).

I became pregnant in July 2013 but lost the baby sometime in late July. I didn't know the baby had died until I went to my 10 week appointment August 20th 2013, and was told there was no heartbeat and the fetus only measured 6.5 weeks.

I was shocked and devastated but wanted to try again. I opted to miscarry naturally. I didn't lose the baby until September 8th, 2013 and bled nonstop until November 18th. I started bleeding again November 25th and was told it was a normal period. My period due December 23rd never started and I took THREE positive pregnancy tests. I am shocked this happened so quickly after the intense bleeding I went through.

I am hoping this little baby decides to stick around because I cannot wait to meet them!
Ultrasound on 1/17 showed a 6w6d baby with a wonderful 126bpm heartbeat. The relief I felt was unbelievable. Here's to many more healthy weeks!

2/6/13: Got to see baby again, moving around, with little arms and legs! Saw a beautiful little hand with fingers!! I love this baby so much! Can't wait to see him/her again on the 18th! :)

2/18/13: Fell more in love with baby today. He/She was moving around so much! Got to see the arms and legs and everything. A wonderful heartbeat and so full of energy!! I cannot wait to meet you! I couldn't be more thankful today for the beauty I have seen is amazing!

My Birth Plan

Normal hospital birth, vaginal with epidural.

Had epidural with 1st son and none with 2nd because he came out too fast. I don't care to go through that again and much preferred the epidural! My previous births were very different from one another, the first I had severe preeclampsia and almost died, I was throwing up the entire labor and in the hospital for 6 days. 2nd time around was a 30 minute labor and went home the following morning (10 hours later). I am apparently very strong though because my first son took 2 pushes even with sickness and impending death, and my 2nd took only one push. Hoping this baby follows that trend and just falls out :P

We are also not finding out the gender and it will be a beautiful surprise at birth.

Hey thanks for your comment on my post. I, like you, suffered from a miscarriage in 2011. The baby died at weeks. I'm only 5 weeks now and so far things are going pretty well. I will schedule my doctors appointment next week

I dont remember the exact taste as that was nearly 6 years ago now but I do remember that it wasn't necessarily good, but tolerable. I am addicted to peppermint so I remember adding some peppermint extract to it, but my grandma recommended honey, or even adding another type of tea and doubling up the water.

I thank you for your comment :)
I may invest in some of the Mothers milk tea as well to help up the supply. Are you able to tell me what it tastes like? I've had other supply boosting supplements and are all anise (which I'm not a fan of)...
Thank you for your comments to my question though :)

No problem :) I feel like I answer so many questions on here! I feel bad I think for people that don't get responses to their questions, so if I have an answer or an opinion about something I will always share it. 4 pregnancies, 2 kids and 1 one the way (stick baby!) I have more knowledge than I thought! :)

Thank you SO much for your reassuring response to my question. Its SO nice to reach out to ladies going through the same pains and joys of prgnancy. You're right. Just gotta try to remember he's a man and is trying to understand as best he can while knowing he never will really understand.
