About Me
Having a baby was always the plan, Danny and I just had lots we wanted to do beforehand; travel, pay off loans, progress in our careers, etc.The two major life events we wanted to get out of the way before having a child was to go to Europe and for Danny to take and pass the P.E. (his Professional Engineering exam). In May of 2014 we took our European vacation, going to Italy and then Ireland. Though Danny hadn't passed his P.E. yet, we couldn't pass up the idea of conceiving in Ireland. So that was the first time we didn't "not try" to have a baby. Well, we didn't get pregnant. So we continued to not "not try" until Danny passed his P.E. the following January. At that point we started TRYING. We were a little worried that it hadn't just happened up till that point. So January, February and March passed - nothing. We purchased a fertility monitor in April. It couldn't be used until I had a full cycle, so it was useless until May. May came and went and I didn't ovulate... :-/ Uh-oh. I told my doctor and she said give it another month or two. June came, the monitor told me when I was ovulating and BOOM! Hello baby. :)
Our little Irish nugget is due St. Patrick's Day 2016. Slàinte!
