My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year. We always thought I would have trouble getting pregnant because I have had cysts removed from my ovaries and always have abnormal paps which lead to LEAP procedures. We went to a fertility clinic in May and found out I was fine and my husband was the one that was having problems. All of his sperm are abnormal which makes it almost impossibe to conceive. His count and motility are good but the sperm morphology is what keeping the sperm from fertilizing the egg.

He had Varicocele surgery early August 2011 and has increased his normal sperm count from 0% to 3% in 3 months! We are hoping this number will continue to increase however, in the months following it has been 1% - 2%.

I had my first unmedicated IUI December 11, 2011 but it did not work. I did Injectables with a trigger shot this cycle. IUI was on Jan. 8, 2012. He had 2% normal sperm and a fairly low motility.

I finally got my BFP today on 12dpo!! I took 4 HPTs throughout the day to confirm and all had a fairly strong positive. I went to the doctor the next day and they confirmed I was pregnant. I went in 2 days later and my HCG levels are increasing the way they should.

I am very excited but also very nervous of miscarriage.I got to see my baby's heartbeat at 6 weeks 4 days! It was absolutely amazing!

We found at at 16 weeks that we were having a baby boy!!
