Avery Alijah's Birth Story

Rosie said to let her know when she needs to come & I replied at 6:12 right before I got into the tub "maybe soonish" 6:18p she said she would leave in 15min if that sounded good & I told Brian to message her back that that should work.He also sent her a pic of me in the tub & she responded "be out in 5!" She said she knew I was close when she seen me in the tub, because normally I'm still wandering around walking when she gets here. Meanwhile I still thought I had at least 2hrs(oops) 6:52p Rosie got here & after she got inside & heard the contraction I was having said something about not having time to set up & started shoving her gloves on. The next ctx was when I realized I was closer than I thought. My bag bulged outside of my vagina during that ctx but slowly went back in after, before Rosie got a chance to look. I thought that with the next ctx when it bulged that I would have Brian take a picture for memory & also so I could see in that moment. Rosie listened to baby's heart tones & heard baby move as my next ctx started. I got back in my position on all 4s & put my hand back on my perineum to support it & started to feel the sac bulging again, bigger than the last & then next thing I knew baby's head was out. I calmly stated "heads out" & started feeling thru the bag when the body followed right after & my water burst. Savanah seen this & said the way it rushed thru the water looked like a squid that blew its ink in the water. I pulled baby under me & up to my chest at some point I got a peek at his giant baby balls & just giggled & kept it to myself for a bit. Upon delivering the placenta I said "holy shit.. look at that cord insertion" & upon Rosie's inspection of my placenta after the birth we realized it was indeed a velamentous cord insertion. Making our rainbow baby that much more of a miracle!
