Vega Estelle's Birth Story

My contractions started around 9 am and were very far apart 10-15 and not very consistent frequency. My husband left for work a little after 10am and they were getting closer together but still not consistent 5-12 min. By 11 am they were 3-8 min. apart and I decided to give the midwife a call and see what she thought. she told me to keep track of them and to give her a call back in an hour.Shortly after getting off the phone with her my dogs got in a fight and I had to break up a dog fight between two 70 lb dogs while in labor. An hour later my sister showed up to pick me and Scarlett up to go swimming. Scarlett doesn't know my sister very well and I knew she wouldn't go with her without me so I got in the car and had her drive to my husbands work. He was very surprised to see me and thought I was crazy! my contractions were about 2 min apart and very strong so we went straight home and called the midwife again. The midwifes came over around 2pm and started getting ready. My water broke at 322pm and I was holding my baby girl at 340pm. I was able to hold her and nurse her without any interruptions; the midwives cleaned up everything and filled out paper work.When I was finally ready they looked her over and did newborn screening and weight.
