Vivian Juliana 's Birth Story
I started having contractions the night of March 5th, but they were never regular - painful, but completely random. So, I just blew them off as false labor. I never went into labor with my first, so I was a newbie in the going into labor dept. EVERYONE has always said you would know if you were in labor - however, that must not always be the case! :) The next day, I woke up, feeling ok. Off/on contractions, but nothing like the night before. I had a 3 pm appointment with my OB that day. I was 37 weeks and 3 days. As we were wrapping up my appointment (all he did was listen to the hb and measure my belly), my water broke! Right there in the exam room (I guess better his floor than mine or the interior of my clean car)! My water broke at 4:15 PM. Because his office is in a professional building connected to the hospital, they grabbed a wheelchair and wheeled me over. I was on the table at 5:35 and heard my daughter's cry at 5:54 PM. Fortunately, I was able to round up my hubby and we were able to find very last minute child care for our oldest daughter.So far, the recovery from this C section has been much easier than the first, despite having an almost 3 year old. Baby is doing great and her older sister is adjusting better than expected.
