Torin's Birth Story

Went in at 40 weeks and two days with a severe migraine and gestational hypertension that came on suddenly at 39 weeks. It was a whirlwind after I was admitted. I was induced because of the bp - 159/96. It was scary after that. Pitocin was started and after about 15 hours of labor I asked for an Epidural. Unfortunately, it did not work and I was only numb in half my leg. By the time a new anesthesiologist came to fix the epidural, I was already 6cm. I went from 6 to 10 cm in about 1.5 hours and I was screaming in pain and ready to push! After 15 mins if life and death pushing to get him out, to drop my blood pressure that rose even higher (so high my OB looked scared), he came screaming into the world! Healthy and perfect. We are home and since my BP is still elevated, I am trying to take it easy. My husband coached me through labor and I have a relationship with him now that warms my heart. He is a loving and doting father. These two guys are my world.

Hi, thanks for asking how I'm doing. Baby has flipped head down! I'm tired, gigantic and ready to have this baby. :) How are you doing?

Thank you! I have to give credit to my hubby on the nursery. He's done everything in that room from cleaning it out, to tearing it apart to making it in to a livable space. He did it all. i guess this must be his way of nesting. I'm a lucky gal!
