Amari's Birth Story

Water broke early in the morning on May 3rd and contractions started soon after. It was such a small trickle of fluid that I didn't really know what it was at first. Had a doctors appointment that morning at 9 anyway so when they checked me it was confirmed my water had indeed broken and they sent me straight to the hospital. Stayed at 1cm dilated for two days even with Pitocin on the second day. The third day I finally began making progress and went from 3cm to 'ok let's push' in about 40 minutes. Two good hard pushes later my son was born! May 5th at 2:24 pm
