30 Weeks Already! (Bites Nails)
By lala_0412 » Posted Jan. 6, 2016 11:07am - 559 views - 7 comments

I can't believe how time has flown this pregnancy. I think it's because I'm savoring every minute of pregnancy. The good and the bad. I still can't believe this is the last time I will carry a child. After these last 30 weeks I have come to accept that and I am A okay with it.

A few of my concerns right now:
My youngest is now running around the house like a mad man and I keep thinking to myself soon there will be 4! My youngest is showing signs of youngest child syndrome and I think he is going to be pretty shocked when little miss shows up. I took the bouncy chair out of the closet yesterday and discovered his favorite thing to do with it is go behind it and flip it. It kinda worries me. My friend said her son used to love to do that as well.... while the baby was in it!! SCARY!! I put it away so hopefully he will forget he likes to do it.

I don't know if I'm happy with the way I have spelled our daughters name. I liked Layla at first, then I thought it was to plain so I switched it to Lailah and now I think that looks kind of weird. I don't know how I want to spell it! but I need to figure it out.

My next concern is the thought of labor. I have had all 3 kids natural so I KNOW what is about to happen. The thought of labor freaks me out. I've only had one bad experience where I hemorrhaged after my 2nd oldest was born. The pain of it all is already getting to me! I am going to try and labor at home for as long as possible. I think the thought of being in the hospital is a big part of it. Oh gosh I'm not ready for that pain. I know I still have 68 days to go but that's close in my mind!!

I have on the bright side started getting her the few things she needs. Since I saved ALL of my daughters clothes I have plenty but she still needs a few things to call her own. I have also started looking for a new jogger stroller. I'm thinking one that can hold 2 babies. But I can't imagine pushing 2 kids! 1 was hard enough. I am looking forward to being back in shape though!!

How about Laya.

Pbc910- I agree. He could adapt very well. It was very comforting to hear this morning one of his daycare teachers told me they brought a baby into the room yesterday and he was soo into him. Touching his hair and hands. It made me feel SOO much better!!

MalPal85-Thank you for your kind words as well. Take a Tylenol?! I would have smacked him! lol.. See that sounds perfect! Spending most of the time at home. I just don't want to labor too quickly and then I'm like the lady who delivered her baby in the front seat of her car! I would freak out!! lol.

Congrats on 30 weeks! Thanks for your thoughts on my PPD question. I had a scheduled c section because he was breech but he decided he was coming that day but earlier so I labored for about 9 to 10 hours before they did the C section and I was home for most of it which looking back I'm glad about but during it I wanted to shoot my husband because he was like "just take a Tylenol and go back to bed" lol. Looking back I'm glad I did though. It sounds like you got this though and know what to expect so biting your nails is not necessary :).

Can't speak to labor but I do know that when I was in the hospital, I felt like it was for years and it sucked. Now I look back on it fondly....maybe I am crazy! Your youngest may surprise you! I was worried my youngest stepson would have more issues but he has done really well, although he is older so that might have helped. I don't think anyone is every really ready but Ive learned kid are pretty resilient and can adapt quickly to new things. I hope that's the case for you all! I like both spellings but am partial to Lailah because it's different.

Summer- I agree. That is a very common spelling. It's nice that your girls are more independent. My older 2 are in a sense. They are a bit of whiners though. It drives me insane some times. Especially when the baby chooses to be super clingy. It does make it go faster though.

Amanda-Yes. I would be even more scared if I was you! I am hoping that the laboring at home takes away some of the pain and panic and keeps me somewhat sane. Ahhh!! Just the thought!

I think Laylah is also an option but know now that you'll never be able to find it on a keychain. ;-) But you have now freaked me out about labor too so we can panic together! I had a cesarean first so I have a slightly higher chance of a hemorrhage but I still want to try it. I was in labor 36 hours last time with contractions and dilating up to 7cm but I didn't have to work him thru the pelvis. Caroline is almost guaranteed to be bigger and she'll be my first natural birth so now I'm scared to death!

I think that Lailah is a very pretty spelling for that name! Everyone I know with that name spells it Layla. Having little ones at home definitely makes pregnancy go faster. I wish my girls weren't so old this time around. They are so self-sufficient and easy to deal with that it's not making the time go faster. Lol! You are down to the final countdown of weeks :)
