38 weeks. End in sight!

Doctor appointment went relatively well today. Blood pressure is fine. However, gained 2 lbs since last week and there was sugar in my urine despite not having eaten anything for a few hours prior to my appointment... And haven't really had much sugar all day. I'm a little worried because I'm only measuring 35 weeks. Was measuring right on track up til 35 weeks and it's like my uterus has just stopped growing. Doctor isn't concerned. She said it may just be because baby is so low.
I'm about 1.5cm dilated and still only about halfway effaced. But my cervix never thins completely til I'm about ready to push a baby out so that's not really an indicator lmao. Cervix is very soft, has moved forward, baby is at -1 station.

Comment from Kitten90 » Posted Dec. 15, 2018 1:12am Yeah my other two were tiny. My first was 6 lb 4 Oz born at 38w5days and my second was 5 lb 13 Oz born at 39w5d. But I measured a few weeks behind with my first and had low fluid due to battling HG. Second baby I measured right on track but I had a lot of fluid which we never knew about til I was in labor and flooded my hospital room (ewwww lol) | |
Comment from sonata85 » Posted Dec. 15, 2018 1:07am If your doc was concerned about baby’s growth, you’d probably have had a growth US by now. And I think your previous babies were a little on the smaller side? The average U.S. full-term baby being around 7 lbs. 9 Oz. As I’ve said on here maybe, my belly measures huge (like 4 weeks ahead) and my babies are tiny. You’re close!! |
