Pretty sure I’m having a miscarriage
By Angela18 » Posted 32 weeks ago - 250 views - 8 comments

Started spotting last night, this morning feels like a period, just not bright red yet. I’m always worried but I just had a feeling it would happen for a few reasons. My luteal phase was short my first cycle back and got pregnant the second cycle. But most likely it’s cause I’m old. Will call my doc tomorrow. I’ve never miscarried on my own before, I’ve had two d&cs in past cause my hormones were taking forever to recognize what was going on and I couldn’t swallow waiting to pass the baby. This is a new doc for me so I don’t know what they are going to tell me or if they’ll even have me come in to check sooner. Will update when I know more, just frustrated right now.

Thank you sonata, I ended up passing the baby on Tuesday. (Definitely noticeable tissue sorry tmi) and since then my aches have gone away and pregnancy tests are getting much lighter so I'm sure that was what I saw. Just wanting to fully get back to normal. Trying not to feel to down on myself and just stay as positive as I can. Thanks everyone. Hopefully will be back soon but with a healthy keeper xo

Oh no I’m so so sorry hun. Just reading this :( :( I hope you get some answers. Everything will be ok but this is an awful and emotionally exhausting experience to go through. I never had a loss after 5-5.5 weeks, so just like a bad period for me. You’re in my prayers <3

Angela, as someone with a full house of kids myself, I know exactly what it's like to be unable to step back and process emotions. Sometimes that's good, but sometimes it just explodes out later on. I hope you find some time alone. I have fantasies of locking myself in a closet with a bottle of wine, a book and a flashlight and just not coming out for a day or two lol. Be gentle with yourself. You'll get back to normal soon. Healing thoughts to you!

Thanks, calvingirl, I'm going for blood later and then again Thursday. So far it is just like a period and I'm hoping I can get through it kinda quickly, of course, as I've heard some horror stories. I just want it all past me now. I knew by my tests and how I felt that my hormones were at a stand still. I hope it doesn't take long to get back to myself (j guess that's my way of dealing with it) it's also so hard to get away from it all at home to even digest all that's going on...they keep me hopping in this house, lol. I'm just very short fused and wish I had some time to myself to feel through my emotions and pick myself up xo

I'm so sorry Angela. I've had a few miscarraiges at 6-7 wks along. They'll be cramping and you'll have a really heavy period, but it's not too bad. Emotional is the worst of it. There isn't a reason to have a d&c unless you really need it, because of the chance of scarring and damage at our age. I hope it stops, but if it doesn't, I'm very sorry. :(
