FEBRUARY 11, 2020
Today did not start out the way I wanted. Right before I had to leave for our appointment the truck wouldn't start. So, I had no other option but to call my mom (your Nana) to come and pick us up and take us. When she arrived I told her, she was excited and I had to explain to her that we are not telling anyone until after the 12th week.
We arrived just in time for the appointment. We met the doctor, he is really nice and he explained how we will handle my diabetes, how I will have to have extra appointments/ultrasounds and the delivery. After all that he asked if I wanted an ultrasound and of course I said yes. We found you right away with a healthy heartbeat of 162bpm and you were measuring exactly 8 weeks. Of course I cried when I saw your heart beating it's the best sound in the world. I can't wait to hear it again in 2 weeks.
Oh and Papa (My dad) stopped over and put two new batteries in the truck so now it works. When he first arrived he came up and gave me a hug and said he knows I'm Pregnant and that he knew 3 weeks ago. He said there was something about the way I hugged and looked at him 3 weeks ago that e knew. He said the look in my eyes and me glowing, he just knew.

Thank you so much. I've done this with my last two pregnancies. I print out all my info on here and put it in a scrapbook that I make for them for their first year.

I live that you’re writing this to your baby and how sweet what your dad said to you. Congrats!
