Anatomy Scan

After what seemed like an agonizingly long wait, we had our anatomy scan today. Basically as soon as the ultrasound tech put the wand on my belly, our baby flashed us to reveal he is all boy! After that, he showed us multiple times throughout the scan. Lol. I've suspected this all along, but it's nice to be validated. He was moving all over the place, but he likes to snuggle in tight right at my belly button, so it was hard for her to get the shots she needed. She had me flip from side to side, use the restroom twice and I even danced to reposition him while she was out of the room. He refused to flip over, so she sent us to lunch and said we'd try again after.
While we were at lunch, we ran into my mother in law and of course she was asking about the scan. Since I've been referring to the baby as he since the beginning, I let HE slip. I immediately caught myself and tried to explain it away, but I'm sure she saw through it. Fortunately she's nice enough to play along. We're going to do a gender reveal in two weeks, so I hope I can keep from slipping again till then!
We went back and she was finally able to get what she needed, even though he was still being difficult. She wouldn't tell us too much since she's not a doctor, but I did see on the screen that he was measuring a week ahead and she did tell us he weighs about 12 ounces. Everything seemed healthy and she seemed very happy with everything, so hopefully it'll be all good news from the doctor. Overall, it was a good day and we were very happy with our scan. Now I can relax and enjoy planning.

Comment from RPope84 » Posted Feb. 27, 2018 7:46am LOL thanks ladies! We are very excited and happy that we're having a little boy. It's going to be torture trying to keep this secret for the next two weeks but I'm going to try really hard. I have felt like he was a boy since about 8 weeks. I'm not sure about smelling his testosterone LOL, but he's definitely giving me more hairs to pluck on my chin then I've ever had.
Comment from Angela18 » Posted Feb. 27, 2018 5:06am Haha, see, Mother’s intuition already! Congrats! I swear I can smell the testosterone coming out of my pores with a boy. And a blessing your US went well, all around happy news
