Have you ever heard of pregnancy brain? I definitely think I have it.

A little over a week after my second IUI, the DH and I went up north to visit his parents for Labor Day weekend. When we got in the car to come home, the XM radio was not working because they live in the mountains. So I put my iPhone in so we could listen to some music without it being interrupted every 3 seconds. I have a tendency to be a forgetful person anyways, but about 20 minutes down the road, I started to frantically dig through my purse. The DH asked me what I was looking for and I said my iPhone, and he gave me this weird look and said "Um, it's plugged in, we are listening to it." I felt like an idiot but I swear I did not remember putting it in the cubby hole of my Acadia. Out of sight, out of mind right?

A few days ago I went in for my second beta test. I had to go to a lab that just does blood work, not my doctor's office. I didn't let my doctor know that I would be going in the late afternoon, so after I had walked into the lab, my phone rang. I recognized the number as Dr. E's office so I answered it. The lady on the phone couldn't hear me, so I went out into the hallway and before I went out, for some reason I flipped the lock on the door. After I explained to the nurse at Dr. E's that I was at the lab right then getting the test done, I turned to walk back into the lab and realized I had locked myself out. I felt like a compete idiot while I stood there gently tapping on the window by the door so they could let me back in. How do you explain that?? Luckily the technician that let me in laughed and said she had locked herself out before as well.

There have been some other weird things like this happen to me since I have gotten pregnant, and I am sure there will be more. I keep telling DH, "Be patient with me! I have pregnancy brain!"
