I'm going to Vegas in two days to celebrate my birthday (it was yesterday) and attend my little sister's wedding.
We have a small group of cousins and friends meeting us there, and of course no one knows that I am pregnant. Well, except my sister -- I just HAD to spill the beans to her despite me lamenting about not telling anyone until after the first trimester.
All they keep talking about is partying and drinking, and paryting and drinking. *sigh*
Don't get me wrong I am ESTATIC that I won't be able to drink! I'm less thrilled about having to act like I'm partying along with them in order to keep a low profile. LOL
The irony of this is, almost three years ago I was in a similar situation. My DH and I were booked to go on a cruise with five other couples, and of course I got pregnant before it was time to go. I was about 8 weeks along when we sailed (just like now in Vegas) and I had to "play the role" onboard when I was around any of them to keep suspicions at bay. I drank a few virgin umbrella drinks if everyone was around to play it off. I also had to "play sick" when the entire group went ATVing because I, of course, couldn't go. Ah well... it was all for a wonderful purpose!!
Time to put on my Academy award-winning act.... the good thing is the more THEY drink, the less they notice that I'm not. LOL

I ended up spilling the beans, too. After all of the badgering about why I wasn't drinking, I couldn't take it lol -- I had to get them off my back. LOL |
